Great to stay on a working farm for a couple of days and learn about the amazing alpacas. Peter and Suelaine were so welcoming and helpful, and their dog enchanted everyone. Our site was right beside the alpaca pens so at night we listened to the crickets and the gentle murmurs of the herd, very peaceful.

Suelaine, peter and their family were so welcoming! They clearly love what they do and it shows by how they like to show their guests around their farm. We also purchased an alpaca scarf handmade by Peter and it made a great gift for a family member . Definitely recommend their quiet and welcoming Hipcamp to anyone !

Lovely, cozy, amazing alpacas❤️ Fireplace can be used as a coal grill, there's a mesh in the wood storage that fits perfectly on tope of the fireplace. Welcoming host!

We had a fantastic experience, even though it was raining all night, our campsite had a natural slope to stay dry and the trees helped us a lot. I believe if the campsite allowed for a shower facility, people can stay longer!

We had a great time at Suelaine's place. There was room for our 25' motorhome. The alpacas were very cute, no problems camping near them. I recommend Pootscorners Alpacas to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Amazing weekend

Amazing Experience! Alpacas were right there with lots of access. Staff was friendly and helpful with both adults and children. Kids had access to trampoline and swings. Kids got to go in and help feed the animals and put them to bed, and the dog and cat were very friendly.

We had a great time. Perfect location for our softball tournament in Palmerston. The highlights for my girls was getting to walk the baby alpacas, BP and Marty the cat.

Camping in the bush site

Our camp time was great despite the rain storm that stayed for one and half days. We had our tents and canopy up and were able to string some tarps between the trees as well to increase our dry space. We had high ground to tent on and a large picnic table to cook food and store our bins. The distance from the parked cars to campsite was small but we used our wagons to drag our stuff in and out of site. The wood pile was large and we had that fire going all day and most of the night. The farm dog was maybe a little too friendly with our dog but they had fun playing together. Hosts came to check in on us a few times and to grab their dog at night as he was too happy to hang out with us. It was fun to see the alpacas as we walked to the port a john and to our cars. They are so sweet and cute looking.

We had an amazing stay at this campsite this weekend! The site was exactly as advertised—clean, well-maintained, and had everything we were expecting. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be coming back. Camping here was great. The site was nice and private. Plenty of room for me to setup. Good sized fire pit. Super large and sturdy picnic table. But the best parts were the hosts and the alpaca! I highly recommend staying here.

We always enjoy camping at Pootcorners. Suelaine and family always make us feel very welcome. This time, we also got to see the alpacas getting sheared 🦙✂️ It was also our friends’ first time coming here, and they loved the experience (and the alpacas) too!

What a beautiful weekend at Pootcorners! While the farm was busier than normal with shearing and visitors, Suelaine, Peter and their entire family were always readily available and eager to allow us to join in on all the farm happenings. We were able to help with feedings, learn about the shearing process and even have a hands on experience going through the fibres. Highly recommend visiting!

We had an awesome stay at Pootcorners Alpaca Farm in Palmerston. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and check-in was quick and easy. The site itself was private with plenty of space to relax, plus a great fire pit and table setup. The alpacas were such a unique and fun touch—it really made the experience stand out. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back!

Suelaine was such a hospitable and friendly host offering us anything we needed and giving us a tour of all the amazing Alpaca products she makes. Our time here was amazing, especially thanks to BP and Marty who gave us all of the animal dopamine we could need!!! Highly recommend anyone to stay here

Camping with alpacas!

We visited for a winter car camping trip, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The alpacas stay on the property year-round, and as soon as we arrived, they all peeked their heads out and watched us - it was absolutely adorable and such a special welcome. 🦙❄️ (and BP & Marley too!) Our car briefly got stuck in the snow upon arrival, and despite the cold weather, the host came out right away with a shovel to help us. We were so grateful. Communication was fast and clear throughout, and the host was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. The site itself is very private and cozy. Campfires are allowed, and having access to a washroom and electricity made winter camping comfortable and stress-free. We also stopped by the souvenir shop and picked up a cute alpaca keychain—highly recommend as a small keepsake from the trip! If you’re considering camping, this place is a must. We would absolutely love to come back again.
