Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow. You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here! There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental. There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings. There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more! Our goal is to provide a cozy, private, get-away for people who want to be able to pack a few clothes, some bug-spray/sunblock, some food, and head off to the woods. We have tried to think of everything you might need so you don't have to! Your site is far from any other homes or roads, surrounded by forest, Canadian Shield, and beaver ponds. Wildlife abounds, the night skies are clear of light pollution, and there are plenty of birds to see and hear in every season.

Totally off-grid, (no electricity or running water), this Bunkie is nestled deep inside a juglans forest (black walnut), within 74 acres of a certified organic fruit and nut farm located on the historic Rideau Canal. If you want tours of the farm orchards, they can be arranged with owner, Dorothy! Escape to The Nest, a charming off-grid tiny house with tiny wood stove, perfect for adventure! No need to disconnect - we’ve got WIFI! Make sure to enjoy the deck and nearby gazebo! Inside, you'll find your queen bed in the loft at the top of a ladder. The tiny house is surrounded by trees, and the interior has a platform couch and bench for seating, tiny wood stove, tiny kitchen, "shower" area for sponge bathing, and a composting toilet. (There is no running water or electricity). We are stocked with all bedding, towels, dishware, tea, coffee, and a French press! You'll find a BBQ and camp stove for cooking on the deck - there's no fridge, but a cooler with ice packs will be provided. Battery packs are here for charging cell phones and laptops (with USB-C and USB). The tiny home comes complete with rechargeable lamps, battery powered lights, potable drinking and washing water, and WIFI! Consider this the most indoor camping experience you can have and still be out in the woods! You'll want to be comfortable with making a fire and keeping warm in the winter months! The tiny stove will keep you warm on the coldest winter days, but you have to keep it going. :) In the winter months, we'll get the stove started to warm everything before you arrive (and provide you with kindling and wood). When cleaning out the ashes in the stove (if necessary,) please use the metal pail outside and place the ash-filled pail back on the concrete blocks. Please note that there is no other heat source. Check out Mill Pond Conservation Area for great hiking about 15 minutes away! Maybe Rock Dunder Nature Reserve for hiking and AMAZING views? (30 minutes). This beautiful spot is 10-20 minutes by canoe from a public boat launch, depending on how fast you paddle. Access by your own personal boat only. Minimum 2 night stay. Glamping at its best. This location can only be accessed by your own personal boat! There is no car access and no car parking. Bring your motorized boat to get to the islands or if you are an experienced kayaker or canoeing you can leave from Ivy lea 3.5 or Rockport 7.5 km. Boats can be rented from Ivy Lea Marina and Rockport Ontario Marina. Boats should be less than 24 feet.

We enjoyed our stay at Choleena’s so much! It’s a beautiful and comfortable place, very private and enjoyable for anyone who loves spending time in forests and lakes. The cabin is super cozy and there’s plenty of lawn games to occupy yourselves with or just taking it easy in a hammock. I wholeheartedly recommend it :)

Weekend Trip to Perth Boho Chic Vintage Caravan

I would recommend to a friend if I knew my friend was into this kind of camp site. The site is tranquil and beautiful, tucked away in the woods. 2 minute drive from a nice walking/biking trail. 20 minute drive from Perth, which is a nice little town to visit with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants and places to walk. The camper is comfortable for 2 adults, would be squishy for four. Enjoyed the fire pit at night. The outhouse is clean and very pleasant all things considered.

Our family recently stayed here and we cannot recommend it enough. If you love the idea of being surrounded by nature but still want the comfort and convenience of modern life, this is the perfect spot. The site itself was beautiful and well-maintained. The accommodations were complete with all the essential amenities, making the experience completely stress-free. It was the perfect balance of a rugged outdoor vibe and total comfort. The hosts were helpful and hospitable and quick to answer our questions. We had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

We had a fantastic time. Neal was friendly, personable and made us feel right at home. He has a nice piece of magic to share with the world. Lots of good energy. The waterfall was beautiful, the sauna was incredible. There is running water at the camp and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend and hope to go back one day.

Weekend Trip to Glamorous Camping in the Woods

This was our first glamping experience and Sibo and Gee were exceptional hosts. They were very responsive to our questions and available throughout our stay. We booked 2 sites and everything was pretty much provided for us! The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets for the nights that dipped in temperature. The kitchens had everything we needed so we didn't need to bring many supplies other than food. We were able to purchase firewood from them and Gee was nice enough to drop off fresh eggs from their chickens. The property was well maintained and the kids had so much fun exploring. There were activities like board games and axe throwing that kept us entertained too. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun yet relaxing glamping experience!

Entre le sauna, le bain chaud au bois, le bain froid et le fameux massage Venik — que je recommande profondément — tout était magique. Un vrai moment de reconnexion et de douceur. Les hôtes sont d’une gentillesse rare. Jennie s’est même déplacée au village pour aller me chercher du pain sans gluten. Ces petites attentions rendent l’expérience encore plus spéciale. Weekend Trip to Meech Creek Falls

This is a pretty special place, just off one of the best rail trails anywhere. Very private, with only white noise from the falls to hear - I slept longer than I do at home! We arrived in pouring rain very glad we didn't have to pitch a tent ourselves, but instead could go warm up in the sauna. And important for June... It seemed like perfect conditions for blackflies and mosquitoes but there were hardly any, even at sunset. I guess being on the slope there's not really any standing water.
