Our grass lots are backed with lush Appalachian forest and leads way to a slow brook where you can wade with the tide or try your hand at fishing or simply sit by the fire and enjoy the solitude. Check in is self guided as there is no host on site but you'll find it simple as all sites, as well as the toilet area is well marked with signage. This doesn’t mean we aren’t here to help, you can reach us 24/7 via text. We are Located just off the Acadian Coastal Drive and minutes from the beautiful Fundy shore. You can bring your tent, RV, van or camper and choose from 4 fantastic sites. 1-30 amp service, 2 roadside non-serviced as well as one privative forested site and 3 tent sites. All sites are equipped with a fire pit and access to our outhouse restroom. Wood is available for purchase if you didn’t bring your own! We are currently fencing in the entire property to make it a dog/cat and livestock safe area so pets can enjoy a safer experience . This will be done in stages so hang tight with us until this is completed. You can also explore New Brunswick with a drive on Acadian Coastal Drive ·Appalachian Range Route · Fundy Coastal Drive · Miramichi River Route or Fundy Coastal Drive Stop by and visit Murray Corner Provincial park for a swim and watch the tide roll out. Looking to see multiple provinces?? We are in the perfect spot to see all of what the East coast has to offer. View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if your adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires. PEAK SEASON (May 1- Sept 31) OFF GRID (Oct 1 -Dec 31 and March 15 - April 31) CLOSED for winter (Dec 31- March 14) There is no potable water on site however, we do have an out building with compostable toilet, shower/change area. A hatchet or axe. 2. A flashlight. 3. Shelter (tent). We supply a the view, water access, washroom, shower and firewood we don’t teach people how to start a fire or give them lessons on what to bring camping. We are 20 minutes to Wentworth Ski/Mountain bike hill, as well as only 20 minutes to Pugwash beaches, farmers market or ATV "Great Trail" Access. WE ARE CHEMICAL FREE. abundance of biting & beautiful bugs, birds, deer, coyotes & bears. Guests can test their scouting skills while trying to identify as many native species as they can while on site using Merlin or I-naturalist citizen science apps or engage in conversation with their hosts Kevin, Tawny or Caden. A working wild blueberry farm nestled in the woods alongside the trans Canada highway. PLEASE NOTE: We have ticks, bears and road noise from the highway. A small family farm in the making, we raise sheep, ducks, chickens, and rabbits alongside stewarding medicine plants, vineyard and wild blueberries. Wild blueberry season is approximately end of July and we will have picking available for a fee for guests or earn your berries through some labour! We are building garden beds, a vineyard, fencing systems, and moving animals on to this land. **they aren't here yet but working dogs are**. We follow principles of regenerative agriculture and permaculture and are happy to chat about drainage ditches, ponds, silvopasture or any aspect of farming that might interest the guest. LOCATION: Conveniently accessed from 2 highway exits both with gas stations. We are 20 minutes to Wentworth Ski/Mountain bike hill, as well as only 20 minutes to Pugwash beaches, farmers market or ATV "Great Trail" Access. WE ARE CHEMICAL FREE. abundance of biting & beautiful bugs, birds, deer, coyotes & bears. Guests can test their scouting skills while trying to identify as many native species as they can while on site using Merlin or I-naturalist citizen science apps or engage in conversation with their hosts Kevin, Tawny or Caden. BEAR BLISS MEANS AWARENESS All guests must be aware we are in Bear country. We take our roles as stewards seriously and encourage all guests to keep food and rubbish locked up and dishes clean during the evening or whenever leaving. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN A TENT. ANY FOOD. Dan, the host, was in close contact with us. Making sure we arrived safely, etc. Dan made improvements that made site very comfortable such as a picnic table, a composting latrine, and a fire pit. He left a stack of wood just in case we wanted a campfire. We asked if we could top off our water tank. He was gracious enough to make that happen for us. What a great welcome to Nova Scotia!

Beautiful views and very serene. Private beach was awesome! We did drive down to the beach and park our truck. It would have been a heck of a climb back to the campsite after spending the day at the beach. Didn’t see any sunsets or sunrises due to fog rolling in in the morning and evening. Towns around make for a lovely area to explore.

Bootsie's was our home for 2 nights During our road trip from Ontario to the Maritimes. It was well equipped and we were able to drive our car right to the cabin. We enjoyed the luxury of some electricity (while it lasted) to make some great coffee that was provided. We really enjoyed hanging out with the Emus and Chickens and taking in the sweeping views at sunset. Loved our stay here!

This off grid cabin was everything we could have hoped for! The cabin is about 1km from where the car gets parked but Helmut was so kind and thoughtful, transporting us and all our stuff to the cabin on our schedule and making sure we had everything we need. The cabin has everything you could need in the absence of electricity (candles, lanterns, bbq, French press, battery operated outdoor shower). The property the cabin is on is so peaceful with endless trails to explore. It is walkable to the beach (~1km) if desired. However, Helmut’s appreciation for nature is contagious, making you not want to leave the property anyway. Helmut gave us an unforgettable experience showing us around the property and sharing his knowledge of the landscape and how to interact with it sustainably. The bugs were bad this time of year (end of June) and you always have to be prepared to encounter wildlife. But neither of those things could dampen the incredibly enjoyable time we had at the Owl’s Nest. We want to come back and try staying here in every season!

Just spent 2 days at campsite 3 with my dog and cant recommend this property enough! Campsite 3 is secluded, which is what my dog and I loved the most. I was able to get back to the campsite in a regular car as long as I went slow. The campsite was level, soil was easy to set up camp, great trees for setting my hammock up, and had a great view of the water between the trees and the campsite is surrounded by beautiful forest. The bonfire pit was a perfect size and had a metal rack for cooking over it. Wood was supplied which was great. Dan was quick to message and welcome me, and im sure if I needed anything at all I could've relief on him for help. He made sure I knew about the burn ban and he was quick to respond to my messages. There's a great trail across the road that leads to the beach and we had a great afternoon exploring at low tide. Came back and had lots of sun left at the campsite to enjoy. The outhouse is a new build, with toilet paper and paper shavings supplied. There was also dry cardboard in the outhouse if needed. Can't recommend this place enough, looking forward to my next stay!

Site one is great with excellent tree coverage and trails through the woods and the field to walk/run through. Hosts were super sweet and nice :) the water is quite far away (about an hr walk) and you can hear cars from the road at camp site 1 but the beautiful camp area makes up for that 100% brought a dog and three young kiddos and they loved it!! Also so many fireflies it was beautiful!

After a long drive getting to the site, I opened the door and said “ wow! This was worth it!” It was beautiful!! We had to put some thought into where our tents went as it is a bit of a slope, but all was well. We would have loved to have a fire, but fire ban is pretty much an all summer thing in NS these days. Beautiful breeze kept bugs down. Super quiet. I just loved it.

Uppon arrival, Matthew and Francine have welcomed us with warmth and respect. They offered us to choose from the avalaible sites to set our camp. ⛺️ We had a majestic view and lots of space to move and play with the dog. We went paddling from the shores downhill of the site. The water was surprisingly warm ! We had access to hot water for showers, potable water, electricity, firewood+firepits and toilets. We had a lot of privacy on both nights we spent there and would recommand to anybody who wants to enjoy a nice view while camping.

All there 🥳 We had two tents set up with loads of space in between—privacy level: excellent. The site’s big and nicely tucked away from others. And if you’re a hammock fan? This spot’s a dream!
