This is your spot. Your own private campground on 5 acres of forest canopy that we unofficially call "Fern Gully", this site is literally adjacent to scenic Clear Creek State Park (1211 acres) and pristine "old-growth" Clear Creek State Forest (16229 acres). A few short miles to Clarion River (2019 River of the Year) launch access! You can bring your boat and do some fishing, or rent canoes/kayaks/tubes and float away the day. Less than 10 miles to Cook Forest State Park (8500 acres), Allegheny National Forest, and North Country Trailhead! Accessible by RVs of any size. Tent campers welcome! Don't have an RV?? Check out RVshare.com to discover loads of options! A driveway leads to a large, flat landing where RVs can set up. Electric (50 and 20 amp) + pressurized water hook-up at sites. Fire pits on location. Split firewood can be purchased as an "extra". The road in can be rough, just go slow, it's not ours, we are working with the state to fix it. Do it your way! Come relax and unwind or get out and get active. Enjoy the serenity and solitude that nature provides at this quiet hideaway for peace and tranquility. Want to bring a SECOND RV along? Just ask, we can add them to your booking, our power station can accommodate more than one. UPDATE: We recently purchased a park model camp for our own personal family use. That was always our dream goal, a home away from home. It will be parked on the far end of the lot. it will not affect your campsite or privacy, but we want to mention it in the listing for transparency. My pup and I loved our overnight stay. The property is beautiful and quiet. We woke in the morning to a herd of deer walking through camp. Having electric available was a big bonus. We were car camping and being able to have a car heater to keep us cozy was perfect on a 30 degree night. My pup loved being able to be off leash.

This site is perfect! The road is a bit rough towards then end, but it’s a short distance. Do go to the left as Josh recommends! We went right without our camper to see and don’t, just don’t. The site is well kept and private and very big. Perfect to let our dog, Sully, roam free the whole time. It was his first camping trip. A+ for Sully. Already thinking about coming back next year. Thank you for the nice relaxing time!

We absolutely love this campsite! This is not the first time we've been here, and certainly won't be the last! This site is absolutely perfect for our family and dog! It is private, quiet, beautiful and clean! Sitting at the campfire and staring into the woods is life-giving. Our kids and dog can run around without any worry. The electric and water hook ups are so nice to have as well! There are several picnic tables to use and an awesome fire ring. Pulling in and out are super easy because of the nicely graveled area! Don't let the road coming in discourage you...this is no indication of what you'll experience once you're there! We thank Josh and his family for allowing us to use the site again to end our 2025 camping season (we began with them too!) We will certainly be back in 2026!

The property was beautiful. However the road in was a little crazy. It was close to attractions like clear creek park, bear town rocks and the farmers inn and petting zoo. The cell service was in and out so be prepared for that. All and all it was a pretty good stay.

We had a great stay at Fern Gully! The place was just as described and worked great for our camper van. We had lots of space and hidden from any neighbors. Plenty of things to find around to do and our dogs had a fantastic time as well Be cautious of the road going in as it is quite rocky/bumpy. Josh did say they are working on fixing it :) We will definitely stay again

This is our 2nd year here! We love it! It’s got all the privacy we need to let our dogs run without bothering anyone. So much better than renting a site at a campground. It’s close to a lot of activities as well!

Josh's property was beautiful and super peaceful! We really enjoyed our time spend there with friends. It was a short drive to the Clarion River. Plenty of firewood (available for purchase) and such a nice fire pit area. We plan on going back next summer.

Absolutely loved this campsite.. it’s one of the best Hip Camps we have traveled to in our 5+ years camping. Very peaceful, saw lots of deer & our dogs loved roaming around the site. We will absolutely be back! Thank you for sharing your piece of the PA wilds with others.

Peaceful beauty! So quiet- just natures beauty- ferns and trees! Our dogs loved it- being off leash! Hardly any bugs, we have more at home in town! We would highly recommend this beautiful site, it will spoil u for regular camping! thank you for sharing your space with us!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time here! It was so quiet and beautiful! I am one that gets to a campsite and says, “Lets go explore the area, see what’s around.” Not here! We were so content to just sit around the campfire and stay on the property itself. We both actually took naps in our tree hammock! Everything worked as it should and exactly as described. The dogs were able to be off leash all weekend and enjoyed themselves as well. We were able to use a dump station right across the road from the entrance for $15 so it was not an inconvenience at all. Thank you Josh for sharing this little slice of Heaven! We will be back!!

Love the privacy and seclusion. Absolutely no internet service,, for us it was a joy! I highly recommend taking a screen shot of the gate code before you get close! I luckily remembered after a bit but it was a tad stressful with out being able to access my hipcamp account. Close to state forests and the clarion river and many other touristy attractions. Great camp stores right down the road. Road was rough but if you go slow it’s completely manageable (and we were prepared for it thru the description) for truck and 28’ trailer. Looking forward to closer dump station I did bring my 50 amp to 30 amp adapter but was not the same style. I’ve attached a photo for future amperes reference. My 50 amp was the twist and lock style this one is the 3 flat blade style. My 2 boys (dogs) loved their time and enjoyed watching the birds and deer just as much as we did.

We love staying at Josh's land. We really like the privacy at the campsite, but you are still located close to the state parks and forest lands. We camp with our dogs and having all that room for them to be loose at camp is a added bonus. Level sites with good water and electricity. Josh is very easy to deal with, never had a problem with the property or the host. I would recommend this site for anybody looking to get away from the campground crowds.

This is really a campsite! Surrounded by woods with daily visits by deer and turkeys - at least that’s what we saw. After a week of very heavy rains, getting to the fire ring required navigating a swamp- but the site drained and dried out by the time we left. The road in is brutal but the remoteness is worth testing your suspension. Fishing for trout at the reservoir (drive to) was a big bonus. The site is nicely maintained and level. 5 stars from our party.

2nd time here. Please note the road to the site IS TERRIBLE. Pulling trailer with a car? Good chance you won’t make it. Go slow! This is a great spot if you want to get away from people but still have electric and water. Very secluded. Site offers 50 amp service so bring an adapter if you have 30 amp. It’s in a bit of a valley so expect standing water and mud during rainy spells. Dump station down the road for $15. Host is super nice and easily accessible.

EVERYTHING about Fern Gully is PERFECT... except maybe a few short portions of the road getting in! But don't forget, it could always be worse! We truly managed just fine by going nice and slow! :) Josh was fabulous to deal with from beginning to end! Very responsive and kind! The instructions and the locked gate getting in - easy peasy! The gravel parking area for our small camper was level and easy to navigate! The hook-ups worked perfectly! The fire pit and surrounding picnic tables, etc. couldn't have been better! But the woods! OMG the WOODS! They were MAGICAL! It was like being surrounded by an enchanted forest full of happiness! No matter which way you looked, you were in awe of the natural beauty! It was honestly a 360 degree view of the most gorgeous setting you could ever ask for! We had rain almost the entire time we were there, but it didn't even phase us due to the stunning property we were on! I felt so lucky to be able to be there! I have to say it was the BEST place we have camped since upgrading from a tent to a camper many many years ago! It felt like tent camping, we were alone in the forest and got to experience all the sounds and feels (not a single noise from a vehicle the entire time!!), but we had all the amenities of our camper! Again, PERFECT!! We can't wait to go back to Fern Gully! Thank you for sharing your picturesque land with us to enjoy, Josh!! We are Forever Grateful!

This was our second time at Fern Gully. Private and stunning. The forest looks like it goes on forever. If you want a quiet paradise with the only sounds being the wind and birds(plus the occasional turkey), this is the campsite for you.

We love staying at this location.it is close to clear creek state park and cooks forest.The campsite is level with stone down,it has electric and good well water.The site is surrounded by the forest and is still far enough away from the crowds of people.The owners are very easy to deal with and we have never had to call them for any issues at the site. LUV It.❤️

This is my husbands new favorite site! lol 😂 This place was amazing if you want some time to just unwind and be at peace! The woods were beautiful and relaxing. Our 2 year old grandson loved having the freedom to ride his bike, play in the woods and use his Tonka dump truck to pick up sticks! lol The site was level and large enough to fit both our large travel trailers. The road in was rough but putting the truck in 4 wheel drive and letting it crawl and take it slow was all we needed to do. Josh was also very receptive to some feedback we offered on improvements for the dump site. We will definitely look to book this again. Thank you Josh - we loved our stay!

We had a great time tent camping here! It’s a beautiful, remote patch of land. We saw lots of deer and the brightest moon we’ve ever seen. It’s quite a bumpy road to get to the site but we took our time with our little car and made it there just fine. Definitely recommend!

We love staying at the clear creek property. Very private but still close to the clarion river, clear creek/cooks forest area. The property is level and gravel for your trailer or motorhome to sit., the water is good tasting with lots of pressure and you have electric hookups. The woods are beautiful surroundings the campsites, great for hiking. Very nice property. Private.
