1 night at Rolling Acres
Patricks cabin is really nice and isolated
the cooktop is great and the kitchen as well appointed as my own.
We had a great time at the campfire and then slayed out to watch the stars without any light pollution.
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting some sauna time on our next visit !!!

Staying at Patrick Bush’s cabin was an amazing experience! The cabin itself is beautiful, set right on top of the hill . It’s peaceful, quiet, and the perfect place to relax and recharge. The smell of the cedar wood inside is so inviting and adds to the cozy atmosphere. The cabin is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a true getaway.
Patrick is an awesome host—friendly, welcoming, and always quick to respond if you need anything. You can tell he really cares about making sure his guests feel comfortable and at home.
If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this is the place to be. I highly recommend it and would love to come back again!

Very awsome cabin!! Cedar smell is amazing inside has fridge running. Great loft up above for sleeping. ! Great for a couple. Picked wild raspberries along the road!!

Patrick's spot is beautiful and secluded. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway and would absolutely return anytime!

4 nights at Rolling Acres
We had an amazing time at Patrick’s cabin. It was very private, very cozy and the perfect place to enjoy the forest. The waterfalls are 15 mins away and there are some trails for side-by-sides or VTTS. Patrick was a great host, gave us ample directions to get to the cabin without getting lost and was always available to answer our questions.

Camping near La Malbaie guide
When to go
As the biggest population center in the Charlevoix region, you’ll find most amenities open year-round in La Malbaie because the winter season and many ski hills in the area are such a big draw. To observe whales in the St. Lawrence River, the best time is from May to October. The city can be very busy in July and August.
Know before you go
- Most tourism operators will be fluent in (or at least have some) English, but French is Quebec’s first language. Being able to say a few words or phrases in French will be welcomed, and having a translation app on your phone may prove useful.
- You really can’t explore this region without a vehicle, and there are plenty of places to charge an electric vehicle around the city.
- La Malbaie has a couple of laundromats with coffee shops nearby, making them great places to stop and refresh your gear.
