Rustic bunkie located on 2 acres, is nestled among the trees beside a small, crystal clear lake. With 700 ft of untouched shoreline, privacy is second to none. From this lake, you can access 3 other lakes by provided canoe/kayak without portage.
The site is 35 min. from Algonquin Park and 11 km from MKC, the world-famous white water paddling centre.
10x10 main floor with sleeping loft. Solar power provides lighting & a propane furnace for cool nights. Solar lights outside provide ambient lighting-may be turned off if preferred.
The call of the loons & the barred owl will be your lullaby as you drift off to sleep after a day of hiking, paddling, or swimming.
There is no running water, you will have to bring your own drinking water. You will need to bring everything you require for cooking, eating and washing dishes. There is no sink, stove, or BBQ on site. As the site is off-grid, there are no appliances.
There is a split log bench beside the self-contained fire pit. Please bring your own firewood, matches/lighter, and/or firestarter materials. Small fires only please, as this is a well-treed location. Fires must be extinguished prior to going to bed — there is a bucket by the firepit.
If you are wondering if something is there, I suggest you reach out to check with me before arrival.
There is a new private outhouse on site. The outhouse is past the bunkie along the path. Solar lights work with the flick of a switch — one switch by the door, one by the bed.
You have access to 2 kayaks and 1 canoe, 2 adult lifejackets. These are located on the waterfront between the bunkie and the house @260 Matcheski Road. Please return these as you found them after each use. They are shared with the guests at the house. It is a natural shoreline at the bunkie, with a sandy bottom — pretty good swimming, actually! Absolutely no harsh chemicals/detergents in the water!
Please leave the site tidy and as you found it. Take your garbage and recycling. This is a small lakeside community — no loud music, please. Respect the solitude!

We offer 2 log cabins on a century old farm nestled on Ferguson Lake where you can relax and enjoy swimming, boating and fishing. Each cabin sleeps 6-8 individuals and features a large windowed porch, refrigerator, gas range, microwave, BBQ and is fully equipped to handle your house keeping needs. There are 3 double bunk beds in each cabin and a queen sized bed on the porch. There is running potable cold and hot water in cabin. Although there are NO in-cabin washrooms, we do provide a cabin-dedicated portion of a separate shower and washroom building in very close proximity.
The sandy beach is ideal for children and adults alike to swim and there is a dock for sunning, diving or fishing. We have a raft out in the lake for more experienced swimmers. You can soak up the sun by the beach, picnic in the shade of our willow trees or try your hand at a game of horse shoes or for the avid fishermen Ferguson Lake has pike, largemouth bass and walleye.

Weekend Trip to Lakefront Glamping Retreat
This was our second time enjoying Monique’s beautiful property. Cool nights and sunny mornings made for some amazing views of mist swirling on the lake while sipping morning coffee. The crystal clear lakes were still warm enough for swimming and small enough to explore by kayak in an afternoon. Lots of little thoughtful touches everywhere we looked. 3 nights at Hidden Gem on Lorwell Lake
This was our 2nd time coming to Iris's property. We've agreed this will be an annual trip for us. Iris is so welcoming and kind. We love getting to chit chat with her during our stay. Her new dog Thunder was an absolute joy to be around. We were lucky to see Sterling again this year as well. You really don't need for much when you stay here. Trailer is very well equipped with the things you'll need to cook meals. Lorwell lake is stunning! Very clear clean water, great for swimming and kayaking. We absolutely love staying here!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3-night stay! The host was very friendly and welcoming, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. Our kids spent most of their time hanging out by the dock and in the water, and even caught some fish, a real highlight for them.
The camp spot is lovely, with a beautiful lake and peaceful surroundings. The king-size foam bed was incredibly comfortable for a great night's sleep. Just a heads up: our first night was quite cold, so be sure to check the weather and come prepared with warm clothes if it calls for it.
The best part was the generous extras provided: a BBQ for cooking, both adult and kids’ kayaks, a canoe, life jackets, and having electricity available on sight is the chef's kiss. These thoughtful amenities made our stay extra convenient and fun.
Highly recommend this spot for families looking to relax, enjoy nature, and have some great water activities right at their doorstep. We’d love to return!

We had a great time!
The view is amazing, the lake quiet and peaceful, with no weeds and clear water, ideal for swimming and kayaking.
The tent was cute and cozy, more than we expected.
Everything in perfect order and easily accessed.,
Monique was very friendly and responsive providing lots of good information and always responded to any questions promptly.

Absolutely Stunning and Peaceful Escape! 🌲💦
We just returned from an incredible stay at this beautiful campsite and couldn’t be happier. The scenery was breathtaking — especially the waterfalls, which were not only gorgeous but so much fun to explore. There were plenty of well-marked trails that made hiking easy and enjoyable for all skill levels.
The host was fantastic — welcoming, helpful, and made sure everything was just right. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing nature getaway!

Monique’s glamping site was a perfect place for our family of 6 to get a few days away from everything. The gas grill and cooking utensils were bonuses. Having electricity while tent camping was really nice. We spent a lot of time in the water or on the dock. The kayaks and canoe were great and the kids loved the big floating mat. Using the goggles provided to explore the shore around the property was really fun for the kids as well. As others mentioned, the road can be loud. It wasn’t really an issue, just slightly annoying first thing in the morning. Overall we had a great couple days, and would definitely recommend it to anyone!
