We offer 2 log cabins on a century old farm nestled on Ferguson Lake where you can relax and enjoy swimming, boating and fishing. Each cabin sleeps 6-8 individuals and features a large windowed porch, refrigerator, gas range, microwave, BBQ and is fully equipped to handle your house keeping needs. There are 3 double bunk beds in each cabin and a queen sized bed on the porch. There is running potable cold and hot water in cabin. Although there are NO in-cabin washrooms, we do provide a cabin-dedicated portion of a separate shower and washroom building in very close proximity. The sandy beach is ideal for children and adults alike to swim and there is a dock for sunning, diving or fishing. We have a raft out in the lake for more experienced swimmers. Along the water’s edge we have plenty of loungers and seating as well as campfire pits with free firewood. You can soak up the sun by the beach, picnic in the shade of our willow trees or try your hand at a game of horse shoes or for the avid fishermen Ferguson Lake has pike, largemouth bass and walleye. We are a 25-45 minute drive away from Logo’s Land, Calabogie Motorsports Park, 5 golf courses (Dragonfly, Renfrew, Calabogie Highlands, Oaks of Cobden and Whitetail), hiking destinations, ATV trails and numerous other lakes and rivers.

With 700 ft of untouched shoreline, privacy is second to none. From this lake, you can access 3 other lakes by provided canoe/kayak without portage. The site is 35 min. from Algonquin Park and 11 km from MKC, the world-famous white water paddling centre. 10x10 main floor with sleeping loft. Solar power provides lighting & a propane furnace for cool nights. Solar lights outside provide ambient lighting-may be turned off if preferred. The call of the loons & the barred owl will be your lullaby as you drift off to sleep after a day of hiking, paddling, or swimming.  There is no running water, you will have to bring your own drinking water. You will need to bring everything you require for cooking, eating and washing dishes. There is no sink, stove, or BBQ on site. As the site is off-grid, there are no appliances. There is a split log bench beside the self-contained fire pit.  Please bring your own firewood, matches/lighter,  and/or firestarter materials. Small fires only please, as this is a well-treed location. Fires must be extinguished prior to going to bed — there is a bucket by the firepit. If you are wondering if something is there, I suggest you reach out to check with me before arrival. There is a new private outhouse on site. The outhouse is past the bunkie along the path. Solar lights work with the flick of a switch — one switch by the door, one by the bed. You have access to 2 kayaks and 1 canoe, 2 adult lifejackets. These are located on the waterfront between the bunkie and the house @260 Matcheski Road. Please return these as you found them after each use. They are shared with the guests at the house. It is a natural shoreline at the bunkie, with a sandy bottom — pretty good swimming, actually! Absolutely no harsh chemicals/detergents in the water! Please leave the site tidy and as you found it. Take your garbage and recycling. This is a small lakeside community —  no loud music, please. Respect the solitude!  Please respect the natural setting — leave it as you found it, do not cut live growth.

There is no electricity or bathroom facility.
