Weekend Trip to Tryfan Forest

We stayed at the Hemlock Grove site with 7 people, 3 cars and had plenty of room! We had 2 hammocks and 3 tents, this site is great for hammocking. Brent was very accommodating and provided all the information we needed. Unfortunately we got hit with some bad weather, but I would recommend Tryfan Forest to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet weekend on a beautiful piece of land.

First time here and the host was very welcoming. We picked a spot close to the water but there was no car access to the site so we had to change it at the last minute. The host was very accommodating and made the changes without any issue. We like the site we chose and would come back again.

Bret was a fantastic host! Very easy to communicate with and flexible. The campsite is perfect if you’re looking to spend quality time immersed in nature, away from crowds. Sarah’s arrival instructions were perfect (our GPS definitely said we arrived before we arrived). We ended up being able to drive all the way in to our site in our Corolla, there was only one rock that stuck out a bit but Sarah warned us about it. The site itself was secluded and quiet, a good distance away from the next closest site. The lake was lovely, the land is lovely, Sarah is lovely; all around a lovely experience 💚

We made a last minute stop, and glad we did! We arrived at sunset just in time to take in the gorgeous lake views. Clean, quiet and beautiful spot. Only thing I would change is the amount of time we got to spend here.

Nice spot for hammock/tent camping. Cleared spots, along with very little underbrush. Hardest part is getting up the initial hill from the parking area. Shower was nice and easy to use and was refreshing with how hot it was when we were there. If visiting in July bring bug nets/spray. The mosquitoes are hungry. Sara gave good instructions for the site. We didn’t have any issues, just in and out.

Weekend Trip to Camp Rose Island

We recently camped at the Waterfall Rooftop Tent site at Camp Rose Island, and it was one of the most peaceful and unique getaways we've had. The location is amazing—tucked deep in nature with the sound of a waterfall nearby that instantly puts you in relaxation mode. The rooftop tent was clean, spacious, and really comfortable, and the added shelter made it easy to cook, chill, and stay dry no matter the weather. One of the highlights for us was the off-road access. If you're into 4WD adventures, the drive in is part of the fun—it really adds to that feeling of getting away from everything. Once you're there, it feels completely private and untouched. There’s also a beautiful private lake on the property, and the view is absolutely stunning. We spent time just sitting and taking it all in—so peaceful and scenic. Whether you’re hiking, exploring, or just relaxing by the water or fire, it’s a spot that really lets you slow down and enjoy. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up, and the host clearly cares about creating a great experience. We’d absolutely recommend this to friends who want something remote but still comfortable. We'll definitely be coming back. Thank you for sharing the place with us.

Vanessa place was really nice we enjoyed, she was in touch with us all the time with clear directions, tips of what we have around and could do, she left a amazing welcoming box full of treats like s'mores, tea, tim hortons drinks, bars a lot of things and also lighter and flash lights ohh also firewood. You got place by yourself no one bothers. Definitely we love to come back!!!

It’s crazy how deceiving this cabin is. On the outside it just looks like a small cabin but on the inside is huge. Great decor and furniture is comfy, lots of places to sleep. Nice and quiet and private and relaxing. Lots of near by lakes that are just breathtaking. Host was kind enough to call and tell me me where to find some trails to take the jeep! Everything was great!! Loved it!!!

Loved COTW! Kriss was such an amazing host. Very accommodating. Gave detailed instructions and very sweet to get the wood stove going before our arrival. Cabin was nice and toasty when we got there. Cabin was very spacious for 2 people and 3 dogs. Almost everything was provided ( pots, pans, utensils, etc...). We very much enjoyed the quiet (when the generator wasnt running, but that wasnt very often) and seclusion. Definitely booking again!
