Learn more about this land:This comfortable and spacious yurt is located on the 30-acre property of the historic Paisley Mill along the Teeswater river. With three large windows, a dome skylight, and wool felt insulation, the yurt provides a wonderful "glamping" experience. There is a double bed and a single bed in the yurt along with a cooler, table, chairs, and storage space. In the future there will be solar power, but right now the lighting available is by a battery powered lantern (provided). Next to the yurt is a picnic table, fire pit, and a sawdust toilet. There are basic utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans available in the yurt. Bring your own: camp stove, water, bedding, pillows Important to Note: The only heating source is a wood stove. You need to be comfortable using a wood stove safely to stay at this yurt. Pat grew up only 2.5 miles from where she lives now with her husband Gerry. The grandmother of her best friend owned the farm when she was a little girl and she played in the house all the time growing up. Pat purchased the farm in 1997 and has been here ever since.Fun Fact: Pat's first pony named Scout, grew up on this farm. He raised the kids of 2 different families before he was given to her by her parents for her 4th birthday. Thus began her lifelong passion for all things equine.

Winter has added costs due to snow plow. Snow plow cost varies from $50 - $250 depending on how much snow there is. The laneway is 1000 meters long. 1 kilometre. If the snow plow can't get in, you will be required to hike in through the snow. Potentially, a neighbour can be hired with his snowmobile. No guarantees. All wheel drive and winter tires is strongly advised. Unique and secluded, this cabin is a true gem in the heart of nature. It features 3 bedrooms, a dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and woodstove. We also have high-speed wifi on site! The cabin is perfect for a family looking to get away from it all. You will be able to enjoy all that nature has to offer from the cabin's central location. Hiking trails, beaches, wildlife, and snowshoeing are just a few of the activities located nearby. NOT SUITED FOR LARGE GROUPS. In the winter, you will be able to go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing and enjoy a cozy evening reading by the woodstove. You will also be able to enjoy all the beauty of nature during the summer months with hiking trails, beaches, kayaking, and more! The cabin is located along the Saugeen River, just north of 700 acres of managed trails in Bruce County, Ontario. Our property is 85-acres (40 acres is farmed). We are only 20-minutes from beaches and world-class sunsets in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores, and Southampton.  WINTER: Ski-In-Ski-Out. Road access is limited for extreme seclusion! The cabin is 1km off the main road. Plowing, if needed, will be at your own expense! HUNTERS WELCOME! 85-acres of Sugarbush. Next to 700 acres of public trails called Brant Tract. Please note, the people limit for the listing is 6 people. ***PACK IN, PACK OUT. Guests must take all garbage with them when they leave. Any trash left will result in a $50 charge per bag. Seriously. I had to sort through people's trash/recycling in the past. Not doing that again!!!

​This was a magical and tranquil camping escape. The waterfront spot was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The clear skies and zero light pollution provided phenomenal stargazing nightly. We (my dog Onyx & I) had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful A-frame cabin! It’s the perfect mix of cozy and peaceful, surrounded by nature and all the little details that make it feel special. The host’s kindness and hospitality truly stood out — they even gifted us some fresh raw honey and venison steak, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We also loved how dog-friendly the cabin was! Our Great Dane joined me for the trip and was welcomed with open arms (and plenty of space to stretch out). It’s not easy finding places that accommodate giant breeds so comfortably, and this one was perfect. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with warm hosts, beautiful scenery, and a truly personal touch. We can’t wait to come back!

My partner and I stayed at Emily’s Yurt this past thanksgiving weekend 2025 as a last minute booking. Emily accommodated our stay and was very quick to respond. The yurt was stunning, we’ve stayed at many hip camps and this was by far the best experience. From a eco friendly outhouse with a wood chip system, very clean and well stocked with necessities. The yurt had all supplies needed, along with many games and other activities to do. Can’t thank Emily enough for sharing her beautiful property and being so welcoming.

We had a great 2nights camping at Sujo funny farm. Although we think we were mistakenly directed to the wrong campsite from what we booked, the campsite that we had is still good coz it’s kids friendly and quiet, away from the road. The hosts are really nice and very generous. While kids are having fun feeding the donkeys with fresh apples from the tree, the dads enjoyed fishing in the nearby pond. We will definitely recommend Susan’s land to our family and friends for their future camping adventure.

This was a spectacular little gateway in nature. We had a whole big spot surrounded by evergreens and felt a sense of privacy. Donkeys, alpaca, bulldogs, oh my! We also had a great experience birding! John was very kind and helpful and met us upon arrival. I will be returning because this place has a ton of nature to explore. I loved our night there!

Camping at Angela's hipcamp was the perfect start to our weekend of canoeing/fishing! The site was perfect! Right infront of the saugeen river. You can fish right at your site if you like fishing, just a few steps down to the shore line. There was a picnic table provided, which was fantastic! The fire pit is set up right under a clearing where you can see millions of stars on a clear night, it was beautiful and so peaceful. Nice even ground for your tent. Very relaxing atmosphere and as felt very private. Its a beautiful property. We added firewood to our booking, we definitely recommend doing that! We couldn't believe the amount of wood she left right on site for us! It burned so nicely and there was an abundance! She made our trip so easy and so relaxing! We will absolutely return with our kids next time! Thank you so much for a perfect night!

An absolute GEM of a place. Susan and John were BEYOND attentive to my numerous inquiries....Always responded kindly and super quick. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. When we initially pulled up I was like "oh this is kind of close to their house" (You could not see the house, just occasionally my girlfriend hounds me to turn our music up and it gives me terrible anxiety) You couldn't hear a thing; literally felt like we were in the middle of nowhere Pre purchased firewood as well as the hydro and water hook up which I highly recommend... Had a nice chat with John when he delivered our firewood both days. The donkeys are super friendly, the place is superb, and I would definitely stay there again Can't begin to express how much this little trip meant to us, and can't thank John and Susan enough for their hospitality See you in a couple months friends.
