We are happy to allow you to use the area at your leisure however, please note you must have your own ATV’s and insurance for riding recreational/motorized vehicles, we do not provide coverage for this. If you are considering guides for ATV Trail riding, please let us know. We are happy to make separate bookings for this on weekdays or even weekends. There is an Outhouse just steps from the Cozy Cabin front door to be used for your bathroom needs (just note there is no running water in either the Outhouse or the Cabin). The kitchenette provides basic amenities, including coffee maker, kettle, microwave and air fryer/convection/toaster oven. A 2-burner cooktop is available, however there is no oven. Tap water is drinkable, however may taste different to those accustomed to town or city water. The kitchen opens up to an open living space featuring a spacious sofa and a large screen Smart TV and high-speed Starlink internet. Enjoy a restful sleep, with each bedroom featuring a queen bed and dresser. The modern 3-piece bathroom is both comfortable and highly functional, complete with stand-up shower, vanity, towels, and basic toiletries. Two outdoor screened tent areas are available seasonally, one adjacent to the cabin and one located river-side. Guests have access to floating dock on the Black River, canoe and stand-up paddle board to use at guests' own risk. Water level fluctuates and no diving is allowed at any time. Please note, the dock, canoe and SUP board have been removed for the winter season. Guests will have access to the entire cottage. Lockbox code, where the front door key is kept, will be provided prior to check-in. We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin. Common areas for all cabins include: 1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.), 2) Freezer/Fridge, 3) BBQ, 4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water), 5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and 6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water. This "Cozy Cabin" sleeps 4 in beds comfortably, however someone may sleep on the couch or pitch tents on the property or by the water. Located on a 1 acre property on Magnetawan River in Dunchurch, Ontario this little piece of heaven is a separate area in front of our cottage and should be used as a "glamping experience" on water. We love to host people for time away in the fresh forest country air. Many enjoy their time here hiking, fishing or just hanging out reading a book, playing some games or relaxing. You are more than welcome to use our canoe and kayaks, just be sure to wear life jackets, your safety is a priority to us. Dunchurch is well known for its amazing trails such as the Wild Cat ATV Trail only 10 mins from the front door of the Cabin. We are happy to allow you to use the area at your leisure however, please note you must have your own ATV’s and insurance for riding recreational/motorized vehicles, we do not provide coverage for this. If you are considering guides for ATV Trail riding, please let us know. We are happy to make separate bookings for this on weekdays or even weekends. There is an Outhouse just steps from the Cozy Cabin front door to be used for your bathroom needs (just note there is no running water in either the Outhouse or the Cabin). 2 nights at Cozy Cabin in the Woods

The cabin was charming and cozy, it came with various board games to pass the time and a telescope to enjoy the stars at night. The hammocks or what my partner and I call the nest was relaxing. We also had a golden retriever visit us on our 2nd and last day in the cabin. She was very friendly. If ever she does wander off on your visit, its the neighbor's dog, she is not lost, she's just enjoying the nature like the rest of us.

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at Sabrina’s cabin and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive from Rosseau, where we found a fantastic general store that had everything we needed (including firewood). We took our dogs to a nearby beach, grabbed great pizza at Rosseau Pizzeria on the boardwalk, treated ourselves to gelato, and browsed a charming antique shop in town. The cabin itself was amazing—extremely clean, cozy, and full of personality. Sabrina has thought of everything: a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, electric heater that kept the cabin nice and toasty, and even a whole upper loft we didn’t end up needing because the pullout couch on the main floor was perfect for us. Our big dog and mini poodle had plenty of space to stretch out too. The outhouse was surprisingly spacious and spotless, stocked with toilet paper and featuring a working sink with running water both inside and outside for washing dishes. We spent most of our time by the fire pit, which was large enough for a group and surrounded by ample seating. Between the two wooden picnic tables, the big deck, and the covered area with hammocks, there were endless spots to relax, cook, and enjoy the outdoors. Even though the cabin is just off a road, the trees and forest create a real sense of seclusion and peace—you quickly forget there’s any traffic nearby. Sabrina was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We’d happily come back!

The cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway, it's beautifully designed and maintained and is tucked away in the woods which gives you your privacy and lots of trails to explore. I went in early October so got to see beautiful fall colors. Yvonne and Glenn were wonderful hosts, very friendly and lovely people. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We had a great time at Light House Landing! We celebrated our 6th anniversary at the cabin and it was a great experience, we woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise on the lake! Jim, Alyssa and Fran have created such a welcoming environment and were great hosts (like texting to tell us turtles were hatching on the beach one morning or showing us how to feed the chickadees). The cabins were very nice, clean and on the water. We would highly recommend this little slice of paradise

This cabin was the perfect little getaway for our artist retreat weekend! It's cozy inside and the space heater works very well! The outside has a lot of fun play structures and hammocks to let out your inner kid (or actual kids) and the twinkle lights add a touch of magic! I have been here a few times now and it keeps getting nicer every time! It shows that there is a lot of care and love that has gone into this place :) I highly recommend checking it out!

5 nights at Maple Rivers Log Cabins

August 25 to 30th 2025 Second time up to Maple Rivers Log cabins, Sequin, Parry Sound. Was there last year. Cabin 3, Dariusz,s 3 cabins are set in a beautiful, serene setting surrounded by a mixed forest, of pines, maples, Birch..., they are off grid, nicely spaced , in the center a large community fire pit. Trails to follow to a deep gorge, shower, large fridge freezer to share with fellow hip camper,s, Large BBQ, outdoor sink, kitchen area to wash dishes. Some dishes to use. Garbage container. Pit toilet never smells. The host's friendly dog "Daisy" comes to play fetch with balls or sticks., Maple lake is 20 mins away as is Orrville general store. And Rousseau. Dariusz is very friendly host always willing to answer questions, fix any concerns. His wife is of great help as well. I highly recommend Maple Rivers Log Cabins, and will keep going back. 4 nights at Maple Rivers Log Cabins

I loved my stay at the cabin! Although there is no electricity from the grid, Dariusz uses propane and solar cells to equip the camp with a fridge/freezer, hot water, and light, which I really liked. I loved Daisy, their female Border Collie; she protects the visitors during the nights by sleeping under one of the cabins, and she is a lovely companion during the day! Bring a ball, she loves playing with other dogs with the ball. My dog and I really enjoyed our week there: fresh air, quiet and rustic place, lots of hiking opportunities around, and off-leash walks/play on the property. Will definitely return next year.
