Camping at Angela's hipcamp was the perfect start to our weekend of canoeing/fishing!
The site was perfect! Right infront of the saugeen river. You can fish right at your site if you like fishing, just a few steps down to the shore line. There was a picnic table provided, which was fantastic! The fire pit is set up right under a clearing where you can see millions of stars on a clear night, it was beautiful and so peaceful. Nice even ground for your tent. Very relaxing atmosphere and as felt very private. Its a beautiful property. We added firewood to our booking, we definitely recommend doing that! We couldn't believe the amount of wood she left right on site for us! It burned so nicely and there was an abundance! She made our trip so easy and so relaxing! We will absolutely return with our kids next time!

Our stay at Bill’s riverside campsite was fantastic! The location is stunning, with the river just steps away and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The campsite was clean, well-kept, and had all the essentials we needed.
What really stood out was Bill’s hospitality. He welcomed us warmly, gave helpful tips about the area, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. You can tell he takes real pride in keeping the place beautiful and making guests feel at home.

A little slice of heaven along the river.Beautiful trail to explore.Luke and Angela made sure I was taken care of.the site was very big as it overlapped onto the neighboring site for now so I could back in facing the river.Very shaded but I found sunny spots.Thinking next time I will try the Dam Spot.also sites are very private and spaced out.Great space.Great people.

We enjoyed camping on Luke and Angela’s property. We were accommodated last minute with a large group due to having to relocate because of the Wildfires in the North. Thank you very much!! Angela was very helpful and gave clear, easy directions to her property and site. It was spacious and clean. Firewood was stacked up neatly under a tree ready for use. There was another site nearby but not noisy and we still had privacy. The sound of the moving waters was quite peaceful. This was my second time camping on the property but a different site. I will definitely come back next season.

What a lovely family!
I'm thorned with this review because if I tell everyone that this place is the next best thing after paradise - on earth, I will not have a peaceful spot when I return next...
However, Angela and Luke went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible, it wouldn't be fair to not leave a positive review.
If you enjoy peace and quiet but still be close to all amenities, if you love beautiful scenery or go to sleep to the sounds of a lazy river, this is the spot for you! Lots of land to explore, gorgeous mature cedar forest, fields of different grains and cereals... I can't possibly enumerate all of what this place has to offer. Respectfully enjoy a one of a kind to keep intact this jewel of a retreat from the big cities' hustle and bustle. Love love love 💖

Point Farms Provincial Park
Point Farms Provincial Park sits on a bluff with stunning views overlooking the water. Set up camp at one of the pull-through sites for car camping, RVing, or tent camping with electrical hookups and a short walk from water taps, comfort stations, free WiFi, and laundry facilities. Boating, biking, and birding for yellow bellied sapsuckers and orioles give campers plenty to do. Campers who plan to hunt should make sure to snag a small game hunting license for year-round hunting in the area.
Falls Reserve Conservation Area
Almost entirely surrounded by a loop in the Maitland River, Falls Reserve is an exciting family camping experience with a gorgeous natural backdrop—small waterfalls pouring over rocks with swimming holes below. Watch birds migrate in spring and fall, or take a hike through the dense 300-year-old oaks. Many campsites at Falls Reserve’s three campgrounds feature fire pits, picnic tables, and electrical, hydro, and water hookups with sewer access. Campers can pay for a day use pass at Fall Reserve’s entryway gate autopay box, or get a park membership pass for visiting any time of year.
Goderich Lighthouse
Guiding ships to safety since 1847, Goderich Lighthouse has a unique square shape that beckons visitors and locals alike to picnic and view stunning sunsets from 100 steps high. Hikers will enjoy Viewpoint Trail, culminating in a collection of original, historical cottages. Camping near the lighthouse includes glamping options close to Maitland River and Lake Huron’s shores.
When to go
Camping season around Goderich begins in May with Victoria Day and runs to October. Summer months are a popular time for camping and outdoor recreation, with average temperatures topping out at 24°C. With days stretching longer into nights, staying during summer also means the area’s notable sunsets are visible longer. For smaller crowds and cooler temps, plan to visit in spring or fall.
