There is a double bed and a single bed in the yurt along with a cooler, table, chairs, and storage space. In the future there will be solar power, but right now the lighting available is by a battery powered lantern (provided). Next to the yurt is a picnic table, fire pit, and a sawdust toilet.

Weekend Trip to Yurt at Paisley Mill
We loved staying at the cozy yurt in the woods. Emily has thought of all of the basic needs, and when we had a bunch of rain, there were tons of games go play inside.
The wood stove keeps everything nice and toasty!
There is a beautiful river right behind the yurt making the experience even more enjoyable.
The outhouse was clean and fully stocked.
This place was perfect to destress and reset

Weekend Trip to Yurt at Paisley Mill
My partner and I stayed at Emily’s Yurt this past thanksgiving weekend 2025 as a last minute booking. Emily accommodated our stay and was very quick to respond. The yurt was stunning, we’ve stayed at many hip camps and this was by far the best experience. From a eco friendly outhouse with a wood chip system, very clean and well stocked with necessities. The yurt had all supplies needed, along with many games and other activities to do. Can’t thank Emily enough for sharing her beautiful property and being so welcoming.

Amazing experience. Me and my partner stayed for three days in early September and it was such a cozy and comfortable stay. Is clean private and perfect for people that love the outdoors. Indoor wood fire was a great way to stay warm and made for amazing ambiance. Jake made the experience super easy and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful location. We enjoyed staying at Lana's cottage. Close to a beach access and some beautiful provincial parks. Enjoyed that everything we needed was there. Loved the fires in the back yard. Great place to make special memories with our friends and family!

Weekend Trip to Chapelwood Chalet
This place is a hidden gem! An off grid cabin with all of the comforts of home. Jake has thought of everything, hot water shower, wood burning stove, water coming from the tap, what more could you ask for! You even get lights at night. Can’t wait to go back!

1 night at Happy Buddha Bell Tent
We had an awesome night in the bell tent! It was one of the most secluded sites we've ever stayed at. The tent is set back very far on the property, which made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. The weaving hiking trails were a great walk in the morning, and the viewpoints along the way were incredible. We'd definitely recommend staying and would love to come back!

Weekend Trip to Maitland River Campground
I’ve have come to Cardinals Nest twice and both times I have loved it. The cabin is beautiful and spacious, and hosts have all basic amenities you need in it. They also have started adding water jugs to the cabin which was super helpful. There is a nice stream for puppers to play in and a ton of room to roam/ hike. Cabins are spread out so you don’t feel cramped. Very highly suggest !

Jake was a great host! He was friendly and showed us around the chalet when we first arrived. The chalet was very well maintained with all the basic amenities needed for glamping. The site was very private and the property was beautiful. We brought our dog along and he had the time of his life being able to be off leash the entire time.
Highly recommend, we will be returning.

The Cottage is really cozy. It has just the right mix of Off the Grid, with the modern amenities that are integral for comfort. The property is crisscrossed with some Fantastic Parklike trails.

We had the best time here! Jake met us on arrival to show us a few things and was so kind in giving us from fresh garlic he had grown and some home made strawberry jam (which was incredible)! The chalet its self did not disappoint it was so well equipped and clean! So many times we have gone places and felt like they were cleaner when we left than upon arrival so this was amazing! The shower was 10/10 and a nice treat it worked perfectly. This chalet really has it all, peace and quiet, beautiful trails and views, comfy bed, space inside and dog friendly! Jake was so lovely and attentive and really makes you feel at home, you can tell the care he has for this space everywhere you look. We are already planning when we can come back up again as this will be a repeat spot we come to! Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us and the pups!

Our 3 night stay at the cottage was very peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. Our adult children and their spouses also joined us to make it a special birthday for their mother. Our dogs also got to enjoy the walks and outdoors. The water was low, so we only walked there once, but very wonderful Lake Huron sunsets. Twenty 20 minute drive to Kincardine to enjoy a dip in the water. Lana’s Cottage had everything we needed just bring your food, drinks and enjoy. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Absolutely breathtaking.
This site is extremely private, it has many trails in which you can’t really get lost in as they all loop back into one another.
The tent is extremely spacious and cozy and has just about everything you need.
The only thing I would recommend is to purchase extra wood in advance or even whilst there as the kindling doesn’t last long.

Weekend Trip to Chapelwood Chalet
This was a perfect little getaway for us! Jake’s chalet is a wonderful off grid disconnect with some luxuries. We had a great time here not thinking about the daily headaches and just being able to explore the vast forests and stunning river! Jake was very accommodating with anything we needed and the chalet was set up with extras that saved us while cooking! We saw deer, woodpeckers etc. also fishing would be amazing here! Definitely would recommend this place.
