Just a great bit of land for group camping. The field is healthy mowed grass and tree lined, with some woods that provide privacy and shade and cut out virtually any road noise (and make for great hammock camping). The ground is nice and essy for staking and sleeping on, and Chris and Denise have set up several fire pits that serve the need nicely. The site is set adjacent from the shop far back enough to have great privacy, and the hosts are wonderful. Strong recommend for group campouts when you want to be near enough to civilization while looking for a unique spot to stay that affords a feeling of isolation.

The back glen was absolutely perfect. I went in the end of September and the weather was perfect. Charles was very kind and accommodating as well! You can fish and swim in the water, as well as walk some trails along the fields. I set up a hammock by the convenient porta potty and it was perfect. The ground is very level as well for anyone with tents. I will definitely be coming back again!

My dog loved the experience and she got to play with the other friendly dogs in the ranch. The free bundle of firewood provided was more than enough for the night. Would highly recommend!

Matt was a wonderful host!! He met us at the site and shared some tidbits about the area. The sites were close but with the trees between them and how spacious they were it felt very secluded. The bathroom was a very clean portapotty not far from the camp.
Some talked about the noise from the road, but it was very minimal and barely able to be heard over the sound of the wildlife.

The outhouse was clean, which was really appreciated, and the grass was soft enough to go barefoot — perfect for lounging or playing. There was also a huge open space to run around or enjoy outdoor games. A great spot for anyone looking to unwind in nature!

Michelle is an excellent hostess! She greeted us and helped get the fire started and was super friendly! The place is amazing. Large field to camp and the sounds of nature are all you here - so peaceful. Very clean washroom facilities with indoor toilet and big indoor shower or outdoor shower if you prefer. 10 minute drive to Ipperwash Beach. I would definitely recommend this place.

I STRONGLY recommend this stunningly beautiful farm, and with Bernice blessing us with sharing all of the land.
There's a beach adjacent to the creek which is refreshing to dip into. And the beach created this past June, which enhances the ALREADY amazing experience you (or anyone for that matter). The entire beach bonfire effect at night with the gorgeous moon 🌙 being so deep red.... ? Stunningly gorgeous!!!!
There is also an amaaaaazing HUGGGGGE water slide 🛝 which proves to make it doubling the entire experiences there!
I'm actually mind blow 🤯 at the MANY attractions, such great people that have become regulars ( some every other wknd).
I personally took a backwoods site ( which they offer such a huge variety of camping experiences). My site being "THE RAVENS NEST ", Bernice names all sites after birds 🐦
I was the only backwoods tent ⛺️ camper, but she allowed me to customize my site, as backwoods tent campers are few, i wish i had my phone or tablet with me, but it seems to defeat the purpose.. Right?
There's a "Blue Jays Nest" which I was tp take, and that site it right at the beach ⛱️ and behind the site immediately the creek is there.
Bernice, I cannot thank you enough for what became JUST what I needed, shut down electric devices, and simply enjoy the land, wildlife. People.
I give a 💯 for this country experience.
Please look inside the door, there is a Terracotta planter on the bakers rack and one down on the beach.

I was on a motocamping trip and found Matthew’s camp. Great spot, super close to everything one could need. Matthew went over and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. 11/10 for Matthew! As is the case on motocamping, it’s hard to have everything on the bike. The proximity to local shops makes this a perfect spot! Will be returning on my next road trip.

Where to go
MacGregor Point Provincial Park
About an hour and a half north of Bluewater, MacGregor Point Provincial Park offers hundreds of treed, level-surface sites for both car and tent camping. Many RV campsites also come with electrical hookups. Amenities include on-tap drinking water, laundry facilities, easy beach access, and pull-through campsites for travel trailers. For up to six people, year-round yurts offer bunk beds, heat, lighting, outdoor barbecues, and on-site dining shelters. From the campsites, try fishing at the nearby Saugeen River for bass, perch, Lake Trout, pickerel, pike, and salmon. The shoreline is also great for birding, especially during the spring and fall migrations.
Point Farms Provincial Park
Just half an hour north of Bluewater, Point Farms Provincial Park offers a great Discovery Program in July and August where park staff teach about plants, animals, and other wonders in the area. Both the Old Farms Trail and Below the Bluff Trail are easy enough for even the littlest Hipcampers to enjoy—look out for red-tailed hawks, orioles, blue jays, and yellow-bellied sapsuckers. Campgrounds open from late spring into early fall. RV campers will appreciate the pull-through sites with full hookups for water and electricity. Group-tent camping sites with vault toilets and water taps are also available for groups between nine and 45 people.
Dalewood Conservation Area
The Dalewood Conservation Area is about an hour south in St. Thomas, just outside of London. This is a great place to immerse in nature while exploring 25 hectares of wetlands—home to beavers, blue herons, and hundreds of songbirds. The Dalewood Reservoir Trail offers a moderately challenging loop, or kayak down the Evan Sisters’ Water Trail instead. Other activities include a swimming pool and an 18-hole disc golf course. Nearly 200 campsites are open from May to September. Some pull-through RV campsites offer 30-amp service, as well.
When to go
The peak camping season in Bluewater is summer when the warm, sunny weather is ideal for swimming, boating, and hiking. The Discovery Programs at MacGregor and Point Farms only run in July and August, too. For a quieter escape, consider visiting in spring and fall with cooler temperatures and occasional rain. While some sites may offer year-round camping, most close during the colder winter months. Winter camping is available in areas of Bluewater that offer cross-country skiing and ice fishing.
