We have cared for this land for the last 20 years - and our ancestors did before us. We initially lived here on the land in a tiny home (before tiny homes existed?!) It is called "The Tamarack Shack" and is a 10x10 cabin that we built by hand. We lived there - without power or water for 3 years.
It's still standing, but is home to many critters now.
Prior to our stewardship - this 100 acres was a sheep and cattle farm - heavily overgrazed and needing some loving. We've spent the last 2 decades planting 25 000 trees, digging 3 ponds and erecting fencing and out buildings for 15 acres of pasture.

Another fantastic camp stay at this beautiful farm! We loved our new spot on the property just as much as the last one. From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us back with open arms, making us feel right at home. The magic of this place is all thanks to the incredible hosts who treat every guest like family. We had a great time visiting with the farm animals and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of their barn. The provided firewood was a thoughtful touch that made our nights around the campfire so much easier. The amenities are excellent; the outhouse was impeccably clean, and the dishwashing station made cleanup a breeze. This is truly a special place! <3

First of all, id like to thank Brian and Jen for welcoming us on to their land. This was a fantasfic experience. Brain ended up meeting us and welcoming us to his area. He then took all of our stuff to site with his side by side.
This spot was beautiful, set up extremly well and maintained and very quiet. We had a canoe to use, and although the water is shallow and weedy, a canoe here was a great time. We paddled and explored various islands.
Night time the stars we great although the moon was too bright for them to truly shine, we were able to see saturn and its rings using our telescope.
On our 4th and final day, brian and i had agreed on a time and he met us, using his side by side once again to cart our stuff back. He even helped us scour the site to make sure we didnt leave anything behind.
Overall, it was an acceptional stay and the hospitality and kindness of Brian made it a trip to remember.

Absolutely nothing negative could be said about this trip.
From the host to the land to the location to the amenities - it was the perfect spot.
Micheal - couldn't have had a better host – so friendly and positive and quick to respond – everything you would want in a host.
The land was perfect for many tents (flat) with a nice fire pit and beautiful view of the barn (that was lit up) and the land around.
The location was close to small towns - looking forward to exploring more than what we did on our next booking.
Amenities - from the barn with the record player and ping pong table to the dish washing station to the hot tub (we didn't have time to enjoy but next time!) to the bathroom facility to the volleyball court to feeding the horses and sheep and the vegetable basket received on arrival.
All around it was perfect and exactly what we needed. Looking forward to our next trip up there.

Camped with a group of 10, lots and lots of tent room! The land was absolutely gorgeous, spacious and very well upkeept. Theres a beautiful barn to hangout with that has lights when it gets dark, a ping pong table and lots of chairs and tablespace for meals. The flowers grown theyre are so pretty and the animals are so cute! They had a wood-burning hot tub and small cold plunge, super nice toilets and a shower, all with working water as well as a new outhouse installed that was nice. Theres some waterfalls super close by too. I highly recommend here, the stay was amazing, the host Michael is so friendly and the whole experience went so perfectly for our group! ❤️

The property is idyllic – on top of the camping experience, you really can't beat playing the piano in a century-old barn – and Mike and Jen were incredibly helpful and generous hosts. Our stay at this organic farm was absolutely incredible and an unforgettable experience! From the get-go, our host made us feel so welcome and at home - he made us feel like part of the family. The property is breathtaking—spacious, serene, and surrounded by nature in the best way. You really get to unplug and soak in the peaceful vibes.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the boat ride our host took us on—such a special experience! It was such a thoughtful and unique addition to the experience—we’ll remember it for a long time. It felt like the perfect way to see the beauty of the land from a whole new perspective. His family was equally amazing, making the whole experience even more memorable, their hospitality added so much warmth to the entire trip.
One of the other special parts of the trip was watching the animals from the barn. It was such a heartwarming experience to see them up close, and it added such a cozy, rustic charm to our stay.

There is lot's to do on the Farm plus we took Micheal's new boat tour of the local area. What an amazing experience that was! Great hosts and great experiences! Highly recommended!

Exactly the peaceful getaway I needed. Surprisingly few mosquitos. I loved borrowing the canoe and watching the beavers work on their home, the heron fish and the deer come down for a drink. The singing frogs, owl and fireflies made for magical nights. So many water lilies! 😍 I will be back!

We spent 4 unforgettable days at Pine Solitude, and it truly lived up to its name. The site is a private, hike-in spot surrounded by water & trees, offering lots of shade & privacy. It comes with a picnic table, fire pit, thunderbox, and even a canoe — perfect for a quiet getaway. Our group of 6 and my dog Cashew had plenty of space for 3 tents, 2 hammocks, and a big tarp that kept us dry during a heavy rain on the last night.
Highlights of the trip included stargazing in the dark zone (some of the best night skies we've ever seen), daily campfires, cooking meals together, and mellow canoe rides around the lake, which my dog Cashew especially loved! We played guitar, board games, and tried our luck fishing (no bites, but still fun). The weather was mostly hot & humid during the day but cooled off nicely at night. Even the big rainfall couldn’t dampen our spirits thanks to our tarp setup. We didn’t hear/see anyone else all weekend thanks to the site's privacy and serenity. That said, be prepared for lots of mosquitoes, deerflies & horseflies — nature’s price of admission. Next time we’ll be bringing a bug zapper racket!
Huge thanks to our host Brian, who was incredibly helpful and friendly. He transported our gear in and out with his ATV and made sure we had water and firewood when needed.
We highly recommend Pine Solitude to anyone looking for a peaceful, off-grid experience. It’s a perfect spot to unwind, reconnect w/ friends, & soak in the beauty of Ontario’s wilderness.

Michael’s farm is the perfect place for a serene getaway! We only stayed in one night but easily could have stayed much much longer. Michael was a wonderful host and was so enthusiastic about the land and making us feel welcome. We enjoyed watching the horses, having a fire, and picking strawberries! Loved camping at Michael and Jenny’s farm. Magical property. Beautiful, simple set up. You have access to a sink with cold water, an outdoor shower and a bathroom. The wood fired hot tub and cold plunge were awesome. The kids loved the big open space, the chickens and the horses. There’s a little area with soccer nets and a volleyball net which was a blast to use. We’d definitely stay again :)

They are by far the warmest and most welcoming hosts I’ve ever met.
They always put their guests comfort first and never hesitate to take the time to share about their beautiful land.
I’ll definitely be back to meet Mike, Jen, the animals, and Juniper again.
