Come join us at the Gaylin Farms – home to four friendly goats, Newfoundland ponies, Chanticler chickens, two dogs and a cat. Stay at our completely private cabin (sleeps 3 comfortably, sleeping mats/air mattresses NOT provided) isolated within the centre of a gorgeous 25-acre forest with a private groomed c. 1.5 km walking/biking trail. The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights.
NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. It is fully insulated with a wood stove so this area may be used year round. The annex gives one a deeper feeling of being a part of the woods.

The site is spacious and comfortable.
**You must climb up the trail. It’s a 2-3 minute hike up which you will need to carry your personal camping gear up.
You will find in the common area a fire pit and our clear top shelter equipped with a table and some stools. A food prep area where you will find a few kitchen items. There are three Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and two black folding chairs under the shelter. We also have a few games on site such as washer toss, ladder toss...
Our outhouse is like no other. The sun letting skylight roof top provides a bright and airy comfortable space. It’s equipped with a mirror for your convenience.
A pet friendly site supplied with a little dog patio and doggy zip line. This allows small dogs to roam around in security or let your large dog roam free.

Un site acceptant les animaux de compagnie fourni avec un petit patio pour chiens et une tyrolienne pour chiens. Cela permet aux petits chiens de se promener en toute sécurité ou de laisser votre grand chien errer librement.
Le camping Cedar Camp Ridge est bien situé pour un accès facile aux activités de plein air de la région telles que : sentier de randonnée de Sussex Bluff, Fundy Parkway, Poley Mountain : vélo de montagne et ski, parc provincial Fundy, grottes marines de St Martin, Cap Enragé, cascades Waterford, il y a également un accès proche aux sentiers de VTT du Nouveau-Brunswick.

View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if your adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires.

The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Our outhouse is like no other. The sun letting skylight roof top provides a bright and airy comfortable space. It’s equipped with a mirror for your convenience.

Absolutely loved our stay! The camp had all the basic necessities for off grid, with perfect layout and warm decor. The land and trails were so fun to explore. Snowshoeing and winter bonfire were great - peaceful nature retreat at its best. Dawn and Terry were very much great hosts, with directions and explanations at the start, even lending us a sled for our unrequired heavy packs, as well as letting us know to reach out anytime if anything more needed. No need for that, the cabin already had all we needed for a weekend stay, along with special touches. The games and puzzles were a great addition too! Thanks so much for sharing your piece of paradise!!

We had a great two night stay at the Owl's Nest cabin. Helmut answered all of our questions before we left and transported us to the cabin to show us around the cabin and property. Cabin is secluded and off-grid. Our dog was not a fan of the steep stairs to the loft. Don't forget to bring your orange vest and remember to check for ticks. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway.

We loved camping at Cardinal campground. The sites were very well maintained and level and the bistro lighting was a nice touch. The host was very nice and responsive to our questions. The proximity to the national park could not be beat, we would not hesitate to stay again!

We arrived with our trailer which is self contained late in the season and Manuel's place welcomed us with friendly hospitality . We stayed one night and the weather was rainy so we did not have a chance to hike the property but the welcome was warm and friendly.

We surprised my parents with a stay at Bootsie Back 40 Cabin for their 40th anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! The hosts went above and beyond with every detail. The cabin itself is so cozy and welcoming, surrounded by stunning fall colors that made the whole experience magical.
My parents loved the peace and quiet — they spent their mornings sipping tea while listening to the birds sing. The hosts were wonderfully friendly and even took photos of my parents for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. They also got to visit the farm animals (including two emus!), which they absolutely adored.
Thank you for helping me give my parents such a memorable and heartfelt experience. This will be a trip they’ll cherish forever!

Property is right on the road but there is a long dirt driveway the length of the property that allows you to get back away from the road. The vegetation was a bit overgrown and dry when we stayed so we didn’t drive all the way back but there is a nice flat field area in the back that would be a nice spot to park for the night.

Weekend Trip to Bootsie's
Great little spot. The wood stove made it very cozy and we had enough power for the water, lights and coffee in the morning. It was great having a camping experience while not having to take down tents in the morning. Recommend it if you're in the area.

The property was beautiful and Helmut was very friendly. We felt welcomed right away and loved the ocean views, especially at sunset.
We had a short stay but loved every minute of it❤️. We would definitely go back again and would recommend this place to anybody.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of properties I’ve ever seen! The river water was so clear you can see all the way to the bottom,.
Surrounded by a gorgeous wooded area - the views were spectacular!
The army tent was so cosy and comfortable with a great skylight view of the stars. Nestled in history - it feels like you’re stepping back in time. All you need is a sleeping bag.
We truly appreciated the hosts, Brad and Erica. Their knowledge of the history of the area was extremely interesting. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you to both of you!
I wish I could give them more stars than just the five stars allowed as it truly was an experience of a lifetime.
So very grateful to have visited this place. We will be back again and again!

Weekend Trip to Beach and Forest
Helmut was so nice, and his cabin was exceptional. We were nested into the forrest, cut from the rest of the world. The cabin has everything you need, including a pump and head shower, perfect for a quick wash. I would definitely recommend!
