We loved staying on Denise and Korys property and getting to stay in Periwinkle was absolutely fantastic. They are incredible hosts and the property is large with plenty of tree coverage for those hot days and a beautiful beach right at your toes. We had our dog Rundle out who couldn’t have been happier to sleep in the shade and swim every day. Lots to do and see in the area that’s worth checking out! We’ll be back!

Weekend Trip to Shuswap Lake Side Vintage Airstream

We enjoyed our stay in thier Periwinkle Trailer, the interior of the trailer is lovely and all set up for essentials. We LOVED the shuswap lake beach access only steps away from the trailer. The host's home is on the property as well but the 'private' grass/beach feel like you're on your own. We enjoyed the outdoor lawn games also. The hosts uses a tractor to carry your items for you down to the trailer :) The hosts are very friendly and hospitable. She even surprised us with a small gift as she knew it was a special occasion for us. We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

This place was such a relaxing and easy place to spend a few days. We waded in the river every day. Suzanne and Randy were lovely. We would go back! There are 2 sites. The 2nd site is a little larger. Both have 30 Amp power and water that are on the passenger side and a little forward of a usual placement, but they provided a 30Amp extension and an extra hose, so that all worked fine. Each site also has a sewer connection in the normal campsite spot. They don't have trash cans available; you have to pack out your trash. But they will give you a container for recycling if you ask. They have 3 dogs who are well-behaved and would come to check on us. There are also alpacas and horses.

We absolutely loved our stay! Denise and Cory were incredible hosts—so welcoming and thoughtful. The vintage Airstream is beyond adorable, decked out with cozy touches and all the amenities you could need. From the comfy bed, mini fridge, BBQ, and stove top cooking! It was glamping perfection! The site includes access to a private beach and BBQ area, and for just a few extra bucks, they’ll even set up an unforgettable outdoor movie night! Think 70s-style projector in a quaint little shed right beside the trailer, complete with movie-theatre popcorn. It was such a vibe! There’s power, running water, and you’re minutes from a gorgeous waterfall hike. We brought our little Chihuahua, and he loved it too! The Shuswap community has such a welcoming, tight-knit feel—we felt right at home. It’s the ideal lake getaway without all the hassle of traditional camping. They truly thought of everything so you don’t have to. Great price, beautiful spot, and hosts who go above and beyond. We’ll definitely be back!

We LOVED this place. We camp all over BC and Alberta from April-Oct. We are very seasoned campers. This is by far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Quiet. Beautiful. Peaceful. Green. Grassy. Friendly hosts. Full hookups. Free firewood. ANIMALS! The dogs were such a great bonus. Logan and Jersey got along so well with our dogs. Their visits were the highlight for me. They even led us to the river on our daily walks. Our only issue was the pesky mosquitos. But we will be back again when the river isn’t so high so we can hang out at the river and enjoy outside without bites. Centrally located to tons of markets, eateries, shops and wineries!

Our first Hipcamp experience and it won't be our last. What a treat to be away from the mass camping of the Okanagan and to simply enjoy the quiet and solitude. Hosts, Sue and Randy, were wonderful and so accommodating. Randy supplied us with fresh pheasant eggs. Yum. The dogs were super friendly, the baby alpacas were adorable. The river was quite high so we couldn't enjoy the full experience of river and beach however we will definitely come back later in the year. Thank you Sue for the kayaking tips. I'll be in touch for future trips!
