Learn more about this land:We are located on a beautiful farm with lots of animals to see! Our property is in Black Creek, BC. We have one private site available for tent and RV/trailer campers. The site is level and grassy and it can accommodate vehicles up to 30ft in length. We provide a picnic table, wifi, and potable water. Campfires are permitted when there is no fire ban.Black Creek is a small town located on the eastern shore of North Central Vancouver Island, home to stunning beaches and outdoor recreation. At nearby Saratoga Beach, the tide goes out for over a quarter of a mile, creating a hard-packed oceanfront playground perfect for children to safely explore. Miracle Provincial Park is close by with a picnic area overlooking the water and a series of lovely trails winding through lush forest. Just 300 meters from the beaches of the Strait of Georgia, nestled on an acreage of family property is The Glamping Beachcomber. This oasis consists of a spacious canvas tent on a 900 sq’ fenced, deck 2 cots and mattresses set up under the 10x10’ canopy. Tent is well-furnished inside and out with an outdoor covered, supplied kitchen. Step off the deck and choose your path! If Oyster River is your destination, the nature trail will take you there. Stop along the way for a swim, picnic, paddle, driftwood fort building, maybe try your campfire building skills! Or meander above the shoreline along the driftwood covered shore on one side of you and past acres of distillery farmland and the Oyster River Estuary on your right. Where the river meets the sea just around the corner, it’s not uncommon to find a seal bobbing and heron near the shoreline, and maybe an eagle further out on the sandbar waiting for their seafood meal. To smell the forest, sea, and freshness of a flowing river all in one breath doesn’t happen many places, but it’s here every day. Fishing, kayaking, hiking, exploring waterfalls, lakes and river oasis’s. You are truly immersed in nature no matter which direction you choose. Having your base here you come back at the end of your day still immersed in the beauty of the surrounding land. We do have a ton of wildlife so please be aware of this. Elk are frequent visitors (and not fans of dogs). Cougar, wolves and bear have also been around these parts for centuries and still continue to visit. Please contain garbage to decrease chances of human/wildlife conflict.

Weekend Trip to Field Sites & Secluded Tent Sites

We loved tent camping on Paul's property, we drove around and looked at every site and ended up picking site 8 for it's privacy and cute little pond area, though we would have been ecstatic with any of the sites as they were all private and tidy. Boyd and Ace (resident campers we ran into) were also very kind and Ace was fun to pet! (He's a dog haha) the ocean was walking distance away which was also very nice. Paul even offered to deliver firewood to us and build us a cozy campfire! Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a secluded, private, clean place to camp. We'll definitely be back next year!

Quiet corner, safe, and beautiful night sky. I stayed here so I could have a short trip to the airport for my early morning flight. I would stay again.

After this pic was taken, we added a 10x10 canopy (with walls), for sleeping, or getting some shade. Also, there is additional covered kitchen space. Space for all your sporting equipment, and if you want to bring 2 more people, you can pitch your tent on the deck. Let me know about additional occupants thanks!

7 nights at The Glamping Beachcomber

We loved the open-air experience of our glamping tent, located near a beautiful stretch of beach near Oyster River. We walked our dog along the community trail every morning, and we spent many evenings on the beach. The tent ambiance is cozy, with a cushy bed, armchairs, and even braided rugs on the floor. The "kitchen" is very basic but supplied all we needed.

Great host! Paul really cares for his property and set up a bunch of lovely, private, level, spaced out options(watch for slugs in the grass if you venture out on warm summer nights.) Came back for a second night knowing that finding something else in a busy holiday weekend was like playing chicken:) neighboring campers were all quiet and friendly and Paul was accessible if we needed anything. Nice touches like signage and clearly marked spot, clean potty, water. Thanks for giving us a nice spot on our journey! Probably one of the best most welcoming hip camps we have ever stayed in!!!! Would definitely recommend a stay here. Close to fun mountain biking and beach resort and lake options too. Thanks!

Quiet and private site. There were only a few other campers there. We stayed in campsite #4 which was great. No neighbors. Easy to find and easy to book on this busy holiday week. Water available from the spigot and there’s a single outhouse.

A great spot to spend a few nights, there is an outhouse,access to water and a short walk to the Salmon Point resort beach. There is even a sourdough farm stand at the entrance to the field! There are 9 spots to chose from and all are tucked away into a private space and driveway. We were able to easily maneuver and level our camper van and have enough space to set up a sun shelter. Dogs are allowed and the open field is a great space for them to run ( that is if they are not tired from all the activities nearby). There is an Italian restaurant- Mattone's that is right along the beach. We did not eat there this trip but the next time we stay at this hip camp we will make sure to stop in for a pizza or pasta. A fantastic sheltered and secluded spot. Handy for a good walk plus access to the stoney beach. Restaurant walkable where good reasonably priced food is served right above the beach. There is an RV site at the beach but hardly saw or heard anyone. Great to have potable water plus a well stocked and clean pit toilet. Had great chat to the owner - great guy.

We stayed in Site 6 and it was pretty private! Backed on to Sites 3 and 4 but there’s a privacy screen that helps keep things secluded. Host was friendly, outhouse was clean for what it is. Access to water. Close to a beach walk. Good spot to hang out for the evening after exploring Strathcona for the day.
