We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. We do not allow campfires as our home burned down last year in the McDougal Creek fire as well as a lot of the neighbourhood so we don’t allow any fires or smoking cigarettes on the property.
We will be building our new home during the summer but the build is a bit away from where the sites are so it shouldn’t be an issue. But this is forwarded as we know that this is a priority for us as so we won’t stop building even if we have campers, so we just want everyone to know this in advance!

Power is supplied by a gas generator that runs the trailer’s electrical essentials — lights, outlets, and kitchen appliances. A full tank typically runs for about 8 hours, depending on usage.
The fridge, heater, and other core trailer systems run on propane, so they work quietly and reliably without needing much generator time.
You get the feeling of being off-grid without giving up comfort.

We are privileged to permanently reside on and be the stewards of 7 acres beside Shuswap Lake, Okanagan BC, in the unceded territory of the Sechwepmec peoples. We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 11 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. We have 3 private campsites with stunning mountain views perfect for a small trailer, or self-contained camper van/tent.

Please note that there are no amenities available at the campsite. Campers will need to have a self-contained vehicle and leave no trace. We are dog friendly and request that dogs remain under their owner's control at all times and on leash.
We do not allow campfires as our home burned down last year in the McDougal Creek fire as well as a lot of the neighbourhood so we don’t allow any fires or smoking cigarettes on the property.
We will be building our new home during the summer but the build is a bit away from where the sites are so it shouldn’t be an issue. But this is forwarded as we know that this is a priority for us as so we won’t stop building even if we have campers, so we just want everyone to know this in advance!

We had an amazing stay over the New Year and absolutely loved this place. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive, and the tour of the guesthouse and property was a great touch.
The property is stunning and the guesthouse was larger than expected, which was a lovely surprise. The wood fireplace created the coziest vibe, but the real highlight was the wood-fired hot tub — tucked into the forest beside the rushing river, surrounded by fairy lights and total quiet. Cold dipping in the river and then warming back up in the tub was pure magic!
Meeting the horses and dogs was also a bonus, and the location is the perfect balance of feeling remote while still being close to town. We’d happily return and highly recommend this place to anyone!

Wow, what a beautiful, tranquil spot this is. The trailer has everything you need for a comfortable stay, inside and out, with several different chill out area options. The views of the lake are just gorgeous, from sunrise to sunset, and the stars at night were incredible.
Being dog friendly was the icing on the cake! Quiet dirt roads were great for walks.
I honestly should have booked for longer. Already looking forward to our next stay.

We really enjoyed Darcy’s cabin. It was simple, quaint and so peaceful. The outdoor shower was awesome and the pit toilet was clean and not smelly. The supplied propane fire ring made the atmosphere cozy as there was a fire ban. The views were lovely. As Aussies, we’d remind other campers that cutlery and glassware is not supplied- but this did not take away from our experience at all!

We loved staying on Denise and Korys property and getting to stay in Periwinkle was absolutely fantastic. They are incredible hosts and the property is large with plenty of tree coverage for those hot days and a beautiful beach right at your toes. We had our dog Rundle out who couldn’t have been happier to sleep in the shade and swim every day. Lots to do and see in the area that’s worth checking out! We’ll be back!
