Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. You can tell how much love and care went into every little detail.🥹😍 The nature around is stunning, and we truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. We were especially touched by the little treats — the marshmallows and cookies were such a sweet surprise (and so delicious!). The weekend was wonderful. The glamping tent was beautiful and the bed was cozy warm. The morning breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire being visited by a llama! We walked the trails and hugged a tree. Great time. Thankyou you Denika and family.

4 nights at Rustic Riverside Camping

We absolutely loved our stay! The bed is so comfortable, they provided extra blankets and towels. The entire campsite had everything you needed from a stove, lighters, water, a shower, etc. The owner went above and beyond when we had some things taken but everything was promptly returned. It’s secluded and quiet and absolutely beautiful!

Weekend Trip to Nature Alive Adventures and Camping

My friend & I had an amazing time at Dale & Colleen's. They are wonderful hosts - friendly, helpful and there were so many more great amenities than we expected or read about. The property is expansive and is well maintained. Our cabin and washroom was so clean and there were many added touches such as body wash, soap and towels. The cats were very friendly and sweet - we loved them! Beds were very comfortable and cozy. Too many awesome things to list!! We'll be back again without a doubt.

Weekend Trip to Trappers Hill Lodges & Campground

We had a great time Glamping here with our two little boys! It was the perfect way to camp in comfort (and warmth) with them. The cabins/tents and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There was access to running water (non-potable) for dishes. The sauna was brand new and a definite touch of luxury. The staff were so friendly and approachable.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable, I loved the trails and the space they have to wander around their land to see the beautiful landscape. The cats were very friendly and a joy to be around. Dale and Coleen were very accommodating and were great to talk to. Would highly recommend visiting and will hopefully be returning at some point!

A cozy spot with everything we needed for an easy get away from Edmonton. Beautiful walking trails and 5 minute drive from a little lake with lots of wildlife. The dogs Cooey and Ruger were great hosts as well!

1 night at Ravens Valley Chickadee chalet

My friends and I were looking for a place near Edmonton to relax and rest away from the noise of the city. Carmen's place was perfect for what were looking for! The place was super cute and clean, we also had everything we needed for a little glamping night. They also have a variety of board games you could play and even had some walking trails you could go to. There were also so many birds and chipmunks, and so many stars at night, it honestly felt like we were hours away from the city! We would recommend this place to anyone, and would love to come back one day!

3 nights at Collinswood Retreat

Absolutley amazing. Lovely little place to escape life. We stayed in the treehouse and also used the sauna which is a real finish sauna, gets very hot. Highly reccomend trying out. The outdoor shower does get very warm-hot water but the grate on the fence is a bit low so bring towels to cover if you need extra privacy. The toilet by the treehouse is an outhouse so I reccommend walking the short distance to the composting toilet, especially for using #2. Didnt have the time to use the bath but it looked absolutely lovely. We did walk the red lantern trail, but beware its easier to get lost in the trails as the markings stop after a little while so take a photo of the map. The treehouse itsself has a very comfy bed. It is quite small inside so dont pack alot. second bed is a folding futon, all bedding is provided. They also have your first bundle of wood free, and there is a jug of drinking water and a jug for cleaning water (non potable), also lots of dishes, and cooking ware, an ax, kettle stove, small BBQ, and fire pit, they have some seasonings and oil if you forget yours. There is a Cheap COOP store 10 minutes away as well, and cheap wood in the area too (also you can get wood from the hipcamp extras tab). There are horses on the property who wander freely so you need to be diligent about closing all gates. They also have garbage bins that are bear safe but you do need to secure your food in your car. There are also some frisbee golf and board games to play. Will be back!!

My daughter loved the trails and waking up to horses roaming around. There were more "comforts of home" than we expected and that was great. The yoga deck was an amazing place to reconnect with nature and self. Geri and Pat were wonderful at communicating with us and it was an overall wonderful experience.

1 night at The Secret Sanctuary

The Secret Sanctuary was an absolutely amazing place to visit. We were in awe of the land and the accommodations the entire time we were there. Our "tent" was outfitted with beautiful furniture, including lovely flooring and accents. More than I ever could have imagined, even for "glamping". Everything inside and out was clean and organized. The outside shower was next level, what a truly amazing experience. Compost toilets are genius and I LOVED that there was a hand washing station outside of the washrooms. We got lucky enough to have their dogs around a fair amount, and even got to see the Llama. There is a fully outfitted outdoor play area, with forts, and swings, and slides, a sand pit, trampoline, and climbing area. The kids never wanted to leave. Denika even let us play inside with her daughter after checking out her store at the main property. The communication was great, getting add-ons such as firewood and a generator/power pack thing was a breeze. It is clear that this family cares deeply about their property, their guests, and the land. We are very lucky to have had this experience and cannot wait to go back.

Weekend Trip to Collinswood Retreat

We had a great time at the treehouse. It was very cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. The views from the yoga deck and the hike around the property were beautiful! Pat and Geri were also very warm hosts and provided us with everything we needed. Watching the horses roam around the property was also a nice surprise.

Weekend Trip to The Secret Sanctuary

A huge thank you to Denika, Nic and Veona for their incredible hospitality and spirit. We stayed at Aspen glamping site - total magic. Secluded and special - tent was spacious and so comfortable. Add to that yummy breakfast and paddleboarding and you’ve got special memories that will never fade. All the other amenities were close at hand making the experience easy. We added yoga session with Sophia which was so fabulous. Not to mention their two dogs and sweet lama - Bowdie! He’s adorable. Thank you Secret Sanctuary for the lovely experience. We will be back.
