Haen Hollow

in Tiny Woodsy Cabin, ColoradoGreat base for rockies access!
Excellent place for staying near the Rockies! The house was clean, exactly as described, and well suited for us 2 adults and 5 kids. We didnât spend much time inside except to sleep so the small space was fine. There was an issue with the previous occupants not taking care of the toilet which rendered it unusable, but we had brought a portable toilet so we didnât use it. Entry road, Storm Mountain Drive, is an exciting uphill drive with switchbacks, and some gravel sections with no guardrails - goes up about 1200â in 3-4 miles, which takes about 20 minutes to/from the highway. For swimming nearby, check out Carter Lake for a nice quiet beach on a reservoir. Great stargazing and plenty of space to explore. We would love to come back!
