Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is situated on the Roebank property and as party of the first settlement in this area, both Roebank and
the neighbouring Peninsula House have historical significance in Bridgetown.
The Roebank Cottage was built in 1890 by the grand-daughter of John Septimus Roe who was a famous civil engineer contributing to the original town planning of Perth City and Roebourne.
In the early days, Roebank was used for livestock grazing and had the largest shearing shed this side of Bridgetown used by the neighbouring farmers. Over the years the property has been used as a pear orchard, goat farm and other small farming activities.
Today the property operates as a family hobby farm with short-stay accommodation along the river residences and nature park sites on the high points offering scenic views of the valley.

Our 120 acres of hobby farm has about 50 acres cleared with the remaining still natural scrub and bush land. To protect our fauna we ask that you DO NOT bring your own firewood - we can supply for you.
Our homestead and sheds are totally off grid being solar with battery and generator backup and rain water tanks.
We run a small flock of sheep with the obligatory goat thrown in for good measure and crop the cleared land to feed the stock through summer. We have free range Chickens, Geese and Guinea Fowl. A dam is situated in the bottom bush corner and another one has recently been built in one of the cropping paddocks. Depending on fire restrictions, quads and bikes can be ridden providing it’s with respect for stock, land and other campers and at your own risk.
Dogs are welcome (and off leash) providing they are sociable, kept under control, don’t worry the stock and fowls and aren’t a nuisance to others. Current vaccinations and worming is required to help protect local farming, stock and working dogs. Introductions to our farm Kelpies is a responsible start as our kelpies have free range over our whole property. For those pooches that suddenly decide they can't contain their exuberance around stock we can supply long swivel chains or temporary use of our 20sqm dog run.
The Blackwood River is a 15 minute drive where you can swim, canoe and waterski. Our property has a huge variety of birds, wildflowers and we even have Phascogales if you’re lucky enough to see one.
Please note the nearest shops are 50km away but if you do forget something we will more than likely be able to help out (because my husband reckons I shop for Armageddon !)
The quiet, the stars, the sunrises and sunsets will leave you wanting to return to our piece of paradise

Trigwell is a small rural location 256 km from Perth. We have a lovely peaceful working farm of 500 acres to explore with undulating hills with horses, cattle, sheep, and plenty of wildlife. There is a good chance of them joining you too!
Out here is a star gazers paradise.
Boyup Brook is just down the road ( approx 30km) with a sporting club, cafe, pool, museum, great little shops, pub and a local IGA.
Bridgetown and Collie approx 50 minutes .
There is Trigwell Reserve and Haddleston Springs on our doorstep, as so is the Blackwood River and the Blackwood River Valley.
Lake Towerrinning 20km away, so many walk trails , swims and things to explore. Harvey Dickson rodeo and the Boyup Brook country music festival is a great drawcard every year.
We offer two options to enjoy this beautiful place: A camping area, and a cottage.
Plenty of room to set up camp in the camping area of the property, so choose when you get here. Sit around a campfire (restrictions for fire season, of course) watch a gorgeous sunset, and enjoy a BBQ with a drink in hand.
No toilet for campers, so you'll need to be self-sufficient with your own camp toilet and take all waste with you when you leave.
The cottage is cute and rustic, and has everything you need for a comfortable farm stay.
The Blackwood River is also very close to our place, and Lake Towerrinning is an amazing place to swim , paddle or ski ( approx 20km )At Trigwell Bridge you have access to the riverside which is great for canoeing through to Boyup Brook.
Dogs are welcome (campsite only, possibly cottage on request) but please keep them on leash at all times.
Firewood can be collected on property for free.
Otherwise we can bring to sites for a fee.
Please note there is approximately 25kms of gravel road . If you come in Boyup Brook way thru to Dinninup , there's only a couple of km.
The dam is unsuitable to swim in at present due to the drought.

Guests are welcome to explore the paddock you are camping in, as well as the paddock with the creek to the south of the camping area. For everyone’s safety, all other areas of the property are off-limits due to livestock, biosecurity, and electric fencing.
Guests must be fully self-contained, as we do not currently provide toilets or showers.
We are dog-friendly, but please keep your dog on a lead at all times due to livestock on the property.

We have 4 flat grassy areas and 1 gravel base site under trees. Facilities include inside and outside showers, toilets, camp kitchen with BBQ, Fridge, electric frypan and small camp stove, washing machine and device charging facilities.
Sorry dogs are not permitted
We can take tents, camper trailers, RV's and small caravans up to about 8 m is OK. We do not have power to the campsite. The camp ground is on a working lavender farm and farming activities may be happening.
If you can't arrive before DARK please do not book if you cant get to our location during the checkin window 3 to 6 PM
The lavender farm shop and cafe is open Thursday to Sundays in term and Thursday to Monday during school holidays (closed February, March and 2 weeks in June) but campers can purchase lavender products on request and order takeaway from the menu
Camp fires in season (Usually May to September) and weather permitting. We supply fallen logs for the communal fire pit please do not bring your own but fires only at night and not in the morning please! If you have your own firepit or want one you need to purchase a bag of wood.

It is a peaceful, self-contained basecamp for travellers who want space, privacy and easy access to the forests, rivers, trails and coastal adventures of the Pemberton region.
The grassed camping area is suitable for caravans and campervans up to approximately 11 metres, with straightforward access and comfortable setup space. Native wildlife, including kangaroos and emus, are often seen wandering through the property.
The property was originally established as a permaculture project and still features a diverse mix of fruit and nut trees, including avocados, olives and a small grove of truffle oaks near the campground.
Guests have shared access to:
• A designated campfire area when conditions allow
• Communal gas BBQ and meal preparation area
• Large undercover shelter
• Open grassed space for relaxing after a day exploring
This is a self-contained vehicle campground. Guests must bring their own toilet, drinking water and waste storage. The campground occupies approximately two acres on the upper section of the property within a clearly defined guest area. The remainder of the property is private, and guests are asked to stay within the designated campground boundary.
We live separately on the property, around 250 metres away, and are available if needed while still giving guests their privacy.
Strict quiet hours apply from 9:30 pm. This is not suitable for parties or large events, but it is perfect for respectful travellers, small groups, clubs and friends who love gathering around the campfire after a day exploring.
Jaspers Tree is close enough to Pemberton for supplies, cafés, wineries, the chocolate factory and local attractions, while still feeling like a proper country escape. Nearby adventures include the Karri forests, Warren River, Gloucester Tree, Bicentennial Tree, trout and marron locations, forest drives, walking trails and 4WD day trips towards Yeagarup Beach and the Warren River mouth.

There is plenty to see and do in the surround areas, you can check out the amazing Yeagarup Dunes nearby that rise metres above the surrounding karri forest. They are the largest land-locked mobile dune system in the southern hemisphere. You can explore by foot or by 4WD if you are an experienced driver.
Yeagarup Lake is a gateway to the dunes and a great place to stop and enjoy a picnic by the water.
The Greater Beedelup National Park is nearby where you can explore the many walking trails and check out the Beedalup Falls.
Campers must have their own toilet facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome when no restrictions are in place.

We stayed in site 1. It was beautiful and secluded. Surrounded by trees and wildlife. So quiet and peaceful. We loved the walking trail on the property. It was so nice to see the attention to detail that Matt and his lovely family have put into this camp. They supply a fire pit and some wood for each site.

Tucked away amongst the towering trees, Highway Hideaway was exactly what we needed for our four-day winter getaway.
Campsite 3 & 4 looks directly over the dam and is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise filter through the trees in the morning.
The amount of work the hosts have put into making the property kid friendly was such a highlight for us. From swing sets and fairy gardens to outdoor games and a designated board game station that guests can borrow from, there was plenty to keep the kids entertained. They’ve even created a little bush walk through the property with information plaques about the different animals along the way, which was such a cute addition for the kids. The hosts’ children had also set up a little stall with their handmade arts and crafts, which our kids absolutely loved (and of course had to purchase from!).
Being able to have a campfire during our winter stay made it even better, and the property being dog friendly was a huge bonus for us too. We happened to have the property to ourselves during our stay, so our dog had plenty of space to explore and she had the BEST time.
Matt was lovely and welcoming when we arrived, made sure we had everything we needed and then left us to enjoy the property at our own pace for the rest of our stay.

Stonehenge is, without a doubt, the best campsite on the property. It’s incredibly private, beautifully maintained, nestled amongst mature trees, and has breathtaking 360° views over the surrounding farmland and rolling hills.
My partner and I booked a weekend getaway and arrived on Thursday evening, planning to explore the local area. Instead, we were so relaxed and content that we didn’t leave the property once before checking out on Sunday morning. It was exactly the peaceful escape we were hoping for.
The weather was cold and rainy during our stay, but that only added to the experience. We had the whole property to ourselves and spent our days enjoying the fire pit and old wood fire. Watching the sheep wander past and the lambs playing in the paddocks was such a lovely touch and gave the property so much character.
This is one of those rare places that genuinely helps you slow down and switch off. It’s equally suited to a romantic weekend away or a family camping trip, and we’d love to come back with the kids next time.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic escape.

Lovely off-grid site that we had all to ourselves for three nights. It was the perfect peaceful getaway and only a short drive to Pemberton, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. We even had visits from the resident kookaburras each morning, which made the stay even more special. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re down this way!

We had a wonderful stay with Matt and his family and would happily come back. The campsite was peaceful, clean, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home without being intrusive. The kids were the highlight of hospitality.
The surroundings were beautiful, with plenty of space to unwind and enjoy nature. It was the perfect place to switch off, and we really appreciated the quiet atmosphere.
We’d definitely recommend Highway Hideawy to anyone looking for a relaxing escape and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Haddlestone is a very peaceful place to relax and unwind. We stayed for 2 nights with our two dogs who loved being able to run around off lead.
Great walks around the paddock looking at the livestock in adjoining paddocks.
I would highly recommend this place to stay, very clean and well-maintained property.

Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is a hidden gem with stunning natural scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The walking trails are well worth exploring, and the views across the surrounding countryside are beautiful. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and escape the crowds, it’s a wonderful spot that showcases the beauty of the South West. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the outdoors.
