Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Escape to a peaceful riverside retreat at Radiata Road, where rolling valleys, towering trees, and the tranquil Blackwood River create a landscape reminiscent of rural New Zealand or Montana. Wake to mist drifting through the valley, spend your days spotting local wildlife, including emus, goannas, and an abundance of native birdlife, and end each evening beneath spectacular star-filled skies with virtually no light pollution. Choose from picturesque riverfront campsites with beautiful water views, or settle into a more private spot elsewhere on the property. While the Blackwood River provides a stunning backdrop, there is no direct access to the river for swimming. Guests must be fully self-contained, and well-behaved pets are welcome, provided they remain on a leash and they must be under supervision at all times. Campfires are permitted when conditions allow, making this the perfect place to relax and unwind in nature. Mobile phone service is available at the entrance gate or at the top of the property. Otherwise, enjoy the opportunity to disconnect and embrace an offline experience.

Choose your ideal campsite, whether it's a scenic riverfront site overlooking the Blackwood River or a secluded site offering extra privacy. All sites are suitable for fully self-contained campers and provide plenty of space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Spend your stay immersed in nature, with regular sightings of emus, goannas and native birdlife, misty mornings across the valley and incredible stargazing after dark. Pets are welcome on a leash by approval of the host, and campfires are permitted in suitable conditions, creating the perfect setting for a memorable camping getaway.

We were in a motorhome and had so much space and freedom. Was well worth having a run for our dog and very peaceful.

Beautiful scenery. We had a secluded spot, which was great for privacy and serenity. However had the freedom to wander and explore. The free roaming animals were placid and of no bother. Daisy and Vinny were very welcoming and met us at the gate. A wonderful piece of land to share with those that wish to slow down and find peace.

I absolutely loved camping at the River Run Ranch! It was a beautiful spot and Daisy has made the place incredibly easy to find with super clear directions. Daisy was also super helpful and communicative before the trip which made me feel even more confident with my first time car camping. All in all, would absolutely recommend!

A peaceful and scenic location by the river. We enjoyed our stay - it wasn't as private as we expected and was expensive at $60 a night. Friendly hosts!

An absoluut gem. I really enjoyed my time at River Run Ranch. Creat communication and hospatality from Daisy with clear directions to the camp. The camp area is amazing with breathtaking views in the valley and over the creek. Heaps of birds and animals around. I was fortunate to have the place to myself and that was super special and felt really save.
