Enjoy genuine farm hospitality, where you’ll be welcomed by both your hosts and our friendly resident animals. Located on the outskirts of town, our peaceful 9-acre property offers a chance to relax and reconnect with nature. We offer two peaceful campsites set in our paddock, shared with our friendly alpacas, sheep, ducks, and chickens (including 2 alarm clocks🐓). While the setting feels wonderfully rural and relaxed, we are just 5 minutes from Mount Barker town centre, making it easy to duck in for supplies or a coffee. Our location is ideal for exploring the Great Southern — 20 minutes to the Porongurup Range, around an hour to the Stirling Ranges, and under 40 minutes to both Albany and Denmark. The area is a dream for food and wine lovers, with plenty of local wineries close by and one of the state’s best bakeries just down the road — an absolute must during your stay. Whether you’re here to hike, sip wine, or simply relax and unwind, this makes a perfect base to enjoy it all. Campers must be fully self-contained, as there are no amenities on site (a dump point is available in town), and we ask that you leave no trace. Come and relax in nature — we look forward to welcoming you soon.

Stayed at this lovely and open area in Mt Barker - hosted by Miranda. The space was beautiful surrounded with the local ducks, sheep, chickens and alpacas. Miranda was a very welcoming and accommodating host. If ever in the area again, I will definitely book again!

We loved this place, my kids said “this is the best HipCamp we have been to mum”. Hosts are friendly, block feels warm and welcoming. Even left with a few fresh apples straight from the tree !!

Lovely quiet spot. Gateway to the Porongorups and the Albany coast. Easy access and walkable distance from town. Friendly, helpful hosts. Our first experience with Hipcamps. We’ll be back.

Site 1 - The Dam
Miranda and Craig were amazing hosts! On arrival, we were greeted and shown to our site. The paddock itself was very spacious and our spot by the dam left us with a beautiful sunset each night. There were ducks, sheep, chickens and alpaca roaming freely with us, they were inquisitive but didn’t bother our stay ☺️ The actual location of the hipcamp was perfect as was close distance to albany, mt barker bakery and the granite sky walk. We would definitely stay again and recommend this spot to everyone!
