Although only had one night here was a great spot close to Port Douglas and Mosmon gorge, very private and a lot of room to pick a site in shade or sun. Definitely recommended

Mowbray Meadows
I had a lovely stay at Mowbray Meadows for a week. It was 5-10 minutes drive to quite a lot in the area, including 4-mile beach for dog walks, Port Douglas town, and some creek, and hiking options nearby. Super convenient, friendly hosts, and reasonably priced for so being so close to Port Douglas.

Lovely spot, heaps of space on well kept grassy lawn. Beautiful views all round, would definitely recommend! We have 3 kids and a dog and all enjoyed having the extra space to run around. Thanks Chrissy and Trevor for having us

It was peaceful and quiet at Mowbray Meadows. We were the only caravan there for some of the days and plenty of room to have your own space. Chrissy and Trevor were very easy to communicate with, would definitely stay again!

Wow, what a find! Set on several acres there are only 4 sites, all level, so there is a huge amount of room. It is in a well maintained rural setting with a magnificent rainforest mountain backdrop. Chrissy and Trevor were wonderful hosts who could not have been more helpful. They offered a water top up when we arrived and even a couple of hours of electrical hook up if we were low on power. We were even invited for drinks and a BBQ! All this and only 5 minutes to Port Douglas township. Incredible. I could not recommend Mowbray Meadows enough. Brilliant stay.
We are currently travelling around Australia and have stayed at plenty of Hip camps and Mowbray Meadows is right up there, Chrissy & Trevor made us feel welcome before we even arrived and went over and above to make sure everything was spot on.
The location is perfect, close enough to Port Douglas, Mossman and the Daintree but also far enough away from the crowds.
Water available on site and a dump point around 1km away is a real bonus and plenty’s of space between us and other campers on this beautiful property.
We would 100% recommend Mowbray Meadows to anyone who’s looking for a great value.
Thank you Chrissy & Trevor for having us, if we are ever back this way we will make sure we catch up.

Gorgeous property with lots of space between sites and privacy. Hosts are lovely and let us fill up with town water! Definitely recommend ☺️
Do not miss this hidden gem!
Chrissy and Trev are awesome hosts and their property is beautiful. Dogs are welcome and our doggo loved the grass to roll and sun herself on. Trees and mountains are your view to wake up to. Pt Douglas is very close making this an excellent base to explore from …. Or just sit and enjoy the view. Would definitely recommend and would come back again. Thanks Chrissy and Trev

Mowbray Meadows
We were the first people to stay at Mowbray Meadows. What a wonderful property , so close to Port Douglas yet the backdrop of the mountains makes you feel like your somewhere else. The sites are huge so you won't feel crowded and you could not have asked for friendlier or more helpful hosts. Thank you Trevor and Chrissy for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back. We would highly recommend this property to future hipcampers.
