Field of Dreams offers stunning views and a warm, welcoming environment, thanks to Phil, the friendly host. Campers appreciate the beautiful scenery, the chance to interact with farm animals, and the peaceful atmosphere, which feels both remote and conveniently close to city amenities. While most visitors rave about the views and hospitality, some mention the proximity to other campers and the shared space as a minor downside. Overall, it's a place where campers can unwind, enjoy nature, and feel at home.
Amazing views and nice grassy flat spot with good amenities, however not very private with other campers and owner quite close. But they were lovely. Just depends what you’re like!
Had a great weekend at Field of Dreams. Great property with stunning views and a wonderful host. Walking the property was a blast - especially when the friendly cows and horses joined us. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back for another visit.
We had a great time! The scenery was beautiful, facilities were basic but that exactly what we wanted, it was just enough to not be roughing it too much! The dogs and farm animals were all so friendly my daughter had a ball with them! Phil was a great host! Thanks again!
The best view campsite we have ever been to. The host was very welcoming and our kids loved him. The kids also loved all the animals. Will definitely go again.
We really enjoyed our weekend at Phil's farm, it felt like we were a million miles from anywhere, but only 17 minutes from Ipswich! The resident cows, horses, dogs, and chooks were entertaining to watch, and Phil was a great host. We loved wandering around the property on the mown paths and exploring. Super quiet spot with amazing views and great night sky.
Loved staying at field of dreams.
Phil is a great host.
Awesome place to stay.
The outdoor toilet and shower is a new experience.
One thing is for sure.
I will be back.
Awesome views
What an amazing place with dream views everywhere you looked so peaceful chickens today feed and cute Ziggy to pat
Good base camp to visit surrounding areas
We will be back
I had such an amazing camping experience at Phil's farm. Phil is a really friendly and helpful host, he helped me with setting up the tent and fly and came and checked up if everything was okay from time to time. I spent two lovely nights at the farm, waking up to cows and horses feeding next to me in the morning was such a new and exciting expeirence. I really enjoyed the view of the farm and animals there were super cute and friendly. I may come back next time.
This place has got beautiful views, it’s very relaxing and has got a great outdoor shower. Phil and Ziggy (dog) are very friendly and made us feel at home!!
Phil’s camping area was immaculate, so easy to quickly set up our rooftop tent. Easy access and to find!
They were very accommodating and so much to experience, beautiful sunflowers, Chickens and all the cattle were friendly and didn’t disturb our time there.
Phil is an absolute legend and the field of dreams is a beautiful property, well set up for campers of any kind!
The view is sensational with 360° rolling hills and the animals are all super sweet!
Highly recommend & we'll definitely be back!
Absolutely beautiful place to stay, spectacular view of the valley. Excellent host, very friendly and keen to show of his beautiful place and has knowledge of the local area if you are looking for something to do. Animal feeding so fun, the horses and cows are super friendly and let you give them at pat. Some cheeky chickens cruise around pecking for scraps. Best farm doggo keen for a cuddle and a scratch. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be going back again
Great camping spot with excellent facilities and amazing views over the surrounding farmland. Even the loo and shower has an amazing view, and if you are concerned about the somewhat open-plan bathroom with low walls at the front in the photos, no-one can see you, it faces away from the camp area towards the paddocks :)
While we chose to camp in the nicely mowed grass area on top of the hill near the facilties, we also saw a great looking spot down the hill near the dam where an RV was parked when we arrived. The awesome host Phil provided us shelter in his shed while we waited for a thunderstorm to pass on Saturday evening, and the friendly chickens came over in the morning to help us clean up the mess.
We will definitely be back sometime and hopefuilly no thunderstorms next time so we can use the firepit and roast some mashmallows.
This is my first camping trip in Australia.
Peaceful horses and cattle and wide plains
Everything was a perfect campsite for the kids and me.
The beautiful stars and the wood fire take me there again.
The kind Phil and the dog Gigy will remain in my family's memory for a long time.
Phil was super kind, lovely and quick to answer any questions I had.
His property was also amazing with spectacular views. I would definitely come back again to camp!
Highly recommend his place to camp.
This was my second time camping in Phil’s property and I absolutely loved it .
Will definitely be coming back :)
Plus the cows and horses are adorable and super friendly .
We just had a terrific weekend at Field of Dreams. The view of the valley is spectacular, the chickens, horses and cows kept our kids entertained throughout our visit and the nights were spent around open fires, enjoying good food and conversation. Thanks for everything Phil, we loved it and will be back soon.
We took our 5 and 3 year old camping for the first time. Phil is incredibly accomodating and his property is lovely. We stayed up near the main communal fire pit, this area is flat with a gorgeous view. Our children enjoyed playing with the chickens, collecting eggs and feeding the horses. There is a toilet, shower, and small stove near communal fire. We wanted our own little fire so Phil provided us with a small fire pit and f/wood. Very convenient for our little family. We will return and highly recommend this site.
It was great being able to book the whole place out and have my family there. It meant we could use the entire field to play ball games. The view from on top of the hill was soothing to the soul. Phil was a wonderful host and he checked with us often to see if there was anything else he could do for us. The carrots to feed the horses and cattle were a great hit with the children and adults alike and all the animals were very friendly. The alfresco toilet and shower are delightful although I am not sure how comfortable they would be in adverse weather, but, hey, the toilet flushed and the shower was warm which is much more than is offered at other places. We had an ANZAC ceremony with an early morning cuppa provided by Phil and family and we were able to tour the vege garden. Thank you Phil for opening your place up for others to enjoy too.
