Roll up next to an old Red Rattler and lay out your swag or park up your van on an off the grid camp in the famous black opal mining town of Lightning Ridge. The campfire and picnic table are communal spaces. The toilet is an outdoor long-drop lit up by solar fairy lights. You will need to bring your own drinking water and shower. There is access to rubbish facilities. With one of the best sunrises and sunsets from the edge of Kangaroo Hill, enjoying a cup of coffee or cold beer is never better. Situated just off the bitumen road and only 2km from town. The campsite is 2WD accessible and we can accommodate motorhomes, campervans and cars. The parking area is loose gravel, you may need to level your vehicle for a comfortable night's sleep. Discuss power options on request. Your pet is welcome to camp with you.

    No privacy small camp close to road

    Really lovely people :) The camp wasn’t what I had expected however, it was very close to the road, rocky and had no privacy. I felt quite exposed and the actual campsites weren’t advertised properly. There wasn’t a lot of firewood either as advertised. Wish I could recommend it more but I was disappointed with the facilities for the high price.
