Peaceful Paddocks is located 5minutes to the Pacific Highway from your campsite. Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest are 20 minutes drive North and it is 10 minutes to the village of Karuah. The village of Karuah provides all you require shops, restaurants and the Karuah River. The RSL has a wonderful restaurant. Nelson Bay is a 40 minutes away. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility! Priority allocation of sites is given to the first campers to arrive on the day of the booking. For your peace of mind, the owner is usually on site. Self contained campers with camping toilet/shower, and drinking water are the expectation. Access to a pool, shower and toilet may be approved upon request. Please contact us for further information. PLEASE NOTE Friendly horses are on the property however you need to stay away unless you have asked the owner to pet or feed them. 🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛 HORSES ARE ONLY TO BE FED WHEN OWNER IS PRESENT. Come and enjoy this open field of acres in a quiet location, with a flat and grassy campsite. It's just 20 minutes north to beaches, shops and restaurants.  For your peace of mind, the owner is on site. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Access to a pool, shower and toilet may be available upon request and approval, please contact us for further information. Friendly horses in paddocks.  Pets welcome, on leash only.  From camp it's 25 minutes to Oakvale Wildlife Park, 10 minutes to the village of Karuah where you can access the Karuah River, shops, restaurants and activities.  No campfires please.

Barb was extremely welcoming, and very open to adjusting our setup location to suit the size of our van and accessibility. Plenty of trees and birdlife. We would highly recommend this place.

Two mums and there kids adventure

We were two mums And our kids on our first camp together, a caravan and a tent, it rained and rained some more before we arrived for our two night adventure. Barb had sent out a message advising us it was wet, but we got it 20 mins before we arrived, we meet barb and we walked the paddocks looking for the best spot for our needs, no shoes slipping in muddy puddles. Kids where excited and sometimes overly loud, we walked the bush behind our camp and kids still swam in the pool, and enjoyed marshmallows by the fire pit( this was pre approved). Thank you for welcoming visitors to your land and giving some of our tribe a first time experience of camping.

Nice quite spot for resting overnight close to Pacific Highway. Good instructions from Barb as to entering the property and setting up.

Second time staying. Good location. Barb was accommodating as usual. Had lots of rain up until we got there, so we had limited areas to set up, but not an issue

Quiet, clean, mowed and plenty of site options to choose from. Within 40 mins of exquisite beaches, National Parks, Nelson Bay and Newcastle. Thank you Barb.

Great location. Peaceful and quiet. Plenty of space, so campers could have privacy. Hosts were responsive and provided helpful and accurate information.

Great communication, lots of space for our children to run, Barb let us use her pool which was amazing to cool off on the hot day. Close to the highway which was convenient. 5/5 recommend.

Stay here over the Christmas break, great location close to town and highway but not to close to be noisy or busy. Plenty of pace and shade nice and flat enjoyed the stay. Host was great would defiantly recommend and will be back again.

Barb was very welcoming. A great spot to stop with plenty of room and the kids were delighted to use to the pool in the hot weather. The dog was very friendly too.

Loved this Hipcamp, the first one we have ever booked on our trip so far and was exactly as explained nice and close to the highway to be able to go on day trips to other towns but far enough away from the noise, the property is big enough to pick your own private spot and Barb was lovely enough to give us access to her pool which was amazing giving the temp on the day, would highly recommend and if we are travelling back through will be booking again

We loved camping on Barbs land! We only stayed the night as a stop over. Campers are far part, pool was nice after a long day driving. We will definitely stay on the way back from out road trip!

We loved staying at Peaceful Paddocks. It was quiet and conveniently close to highway. The grass was beautiful, we saw kangaroos in the morning. Barb was very lovely, friendly and made sure we were happy with the spot.

We had a nice over night stay at Barb’s property. There weren’t any other campers the night we stayed so we could pick our own area. Quiet and peaceful. We saw wallabies at dawn and dusk and could hear lots of bird life.

Barbs paddocks we’re a great little spot to stay , my wife and I chose a spot towards the back of the property, little more private , we had our dogs with us , nearby cows and horses grazing past us all afternoon , nice and quiet and a short drive from Newcastle , thanks Barb we will be back
