On the outskirts of town to ensure peace and quiet while still being only a few minutes walk from the CBD, local pubs and the Aquatic Centre. We offer off-grid sites only, so you will need to be fully self contained with your own Shower and Toilet & Dump points are available. We have fully self-contained studio apartments for those not self contained at additional cost, Blue Sapphire RV & Motor Inn is a truly unique accommodation venue. Whether you're looking for an overnight stay in our studio rooms or a long-term contract for workers and visitors, the Blue Sapphire Accommodation Centre has something for everyone. Set on 10 beautiful acres of trees and shrubs giving you a much more relaxing stay than the usual motel. Historic Glen Innes has 30 heritage-listed buildings and a picture-postcard main street.

Exactly as stated in description. A nice walk to town with our dogs and great meal in the dog friendly pub (outside on footpath next to our table) The Grand Central

We had a great experience on our large quiet site and our host Chris was very accomodating in allowing us to camp near our friends . The park ammenities are quite run down and would not suit people that weren’t self contained .

A little run down

Our grassy site was spacious and flat, although there was no obvious access to water. The owner seemed to suggest we could disconnect a hose leading to another Van in order to fill up our tanks! The amenities block was very old and not in great state of repair. No hot water available at wash basins (taps disconnected) and quite tepid hot water in shower. However, the fixtures, although old, were kept clean and the indoor hanging basket garden was certainly interesting.

Basic camp but a friendly welcome

This park had the only available camping sites when we recently visited Glen Innes for the Celtic festival. I now understand why. It is rundown and in need of some maintenance. Water in showers was lukewarm at best, and amenities block could do with a complete makeover, or at least a lick of paint. Power and water to site was insufficient and outdated as was dump point. Site fees were overpriced for what was provided = a total of $193 for three nights for two people incl Hipcamp fee. Chris and his partner are lovely people but please don’t have any expectations of a stay here other than a friendly welcome.

The Forest
In a lovely quiet grassy and tree filled area at the back of the cabins. The manager kindly showed us where to camp and even gave us an option of a quieter site. Noise from highway was not noticeable. We walked to the pub for dinner. Would stay again.

The Forest
Great service, well kept grounds and super clean amenities. Caravan spots were close to the amenities and laundry was free to use which was a first as they are usually coin operated and costly. We arrived in the evening but still got guided in by the lovely man who chatted to us and put up with our very lively 4 year old! The park is a short distance to town and right near servo and supplies which was very handy! I accidentally booked an unpowered site, but he said it was no worries at all to change it and gave us a powered site, and even said not to worry about the $10 difference, which I appreciated (but had to drop the money in as I felt guilty when he'd been so helpful and friendly!) Definitely a hidden gem and on our list for next trip! Thank you :)

The hosts were lovely, friendly and very accommodating however the park itself is a little run-down and in need of a clean up. It's very noisy with the 24 hour service station and truck stop across the road and in hindsight maybe we should have chosen a site on the other side of the park.

Natural but convenient

Don’t judge a book by its cover- this campsite is in transition and at first glance the amenities seem undesirable but I must say they were the best showers we have had! Chris and Cath are the perfect hosts with a balance of genuine care and respect for your privacy. I had some issues with my van and was very grateful for the kindness and support. Chris and Cath are avid travellers with years of experience. Please don’t hesitate to support this business and create a wonderful set memories for yourself. The only real ‘complaint’ would be noise from the road- it didn’t bother my kids, but I’m a light sleeper-just let Chris know if you are too and he will give you a nice quiet site as the property is large. Beautiful natural grounds with great safe space for the kids.
