Kind host, but misleading photos

The host was lovely and her farm animals were delightful.
Unfortunately, we only stayed one of our three nights as it didn't suit our camping set-up. We needed to camp beside our vehicle, and the only place we could do that was quite close to the road (which was quite loud).
It also felt as though we were coming in the host's front yard, even in the less accessible camping locations. It wasn't exactly a tidy rural property either. I believe the pictures are misleading, in regards to the rurarality and privacy of the campsites.

We enjoyed our one night camp at Follyfoot Meadow, Jennye was very welcoming and friendly and provided lots of extras in a cute little caravan onsite. The bush walks were lovely, the stars were so bright. Jennye even provided firewood for us which was appreciated. Lots of nature and animals around and my daughter enjoyed hand feeding Fran the cow.
The only downside was the noise from the highway which is unavoidable.
Would definitely recommend this Hipcamp to other campers. Thanks for your friendly hospitality Jen!

Despite all the rain, we really enjoyed our stay. Jennye was so lovely and provided us with some great resources to explore the local area. We camped at the top of the property, right near the road, there was traffic noise, but not enough to bother us. Phone service was not fantastic, I think it was a provider issue, but once again didn’t bother us, we didn’t go camping to be glued to our devices the entire time.

We had a lovely overnight stay with Jennye and her dog, Alice! Plenty of sites around, all with supplied fire pits and Jennye seems to appreciate firewood collection as she told us to help ourselves! Would love to stay again!

Our recent camping trip was fantastic, and it was all thanks to our incredible host, Jennye. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The campsite itself is a wonderful place with a ton of space, so you never feel like you're on top of other campers. We especially appreciated the clean toilet and the fact that free firewood was provided. We will definitely be returning—100%!

Escape into nature!

A lovely few days in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. Jennye our host met us at the gate and gave us a quick run down of the property, nature walks and ammenities. A flushing toilet, tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster and games were additional extras that were much appreciated. Wood is in ample supply for cozy fires and birdlife is abundant. The entrance is a little tricky when towing a van so make sure you keep an eye on property numbers as you approach and have a spotter as you depart. Being so close to the road was a downside as traffic noise was an issue. It did die off after 7pm but started up again around 5am.
The property is lovely and we had a very relaxing few days with our two little Jack Russells. It is quite close to Mudgee and we did quite a bit of exploring local establishments, sights and experiences.
Jennye and her trusty sidekick Alice, puppy, were very friendly and accomodating on our stay. A lovely little getaway!

Handy to Gulgong & Mudgee

Jennye is a fantastic host and the location is very handy to the historic quaint town of Gulgong and also Mudgee - both around 25 minutes away by car.
It was great being able to take both our horses and dogs too. Jennye provided safe yards and water for our horses as well.
The camp spot down under the trees was nice, close to a flush toilet and complimentary tea/coffee was available in a separate area close by too. We were lucky being the only campers for the 6 nights we stayed.
Jennye also provided lots of firewood so we had some lovely afternoons sitting by the camp fire with some delicious Mudgee wine.
The only downside is the traffic noise and the dog next door barks a fair bit. The gate opens outwards too so it's a bit tight getting on and off the main road especially when towing a horse float or caravan.
NB. If anyone else takes their horses, please note you have to float to areas to go for a ride. We parked on Riverstone Lane and rode in the Cope State Forest one day which goes over some train tracks which was interesting and we saw emus too.

Lovely campsite with fire pits, walking trails, ammenities and animals. Jennye is a great host and was very helpful. Only downside is the noise from the road, it isn’t really avoidable unfortunately.

Lovely owner and very helpful, great seeing some beautiful spots on the property, lots of firewood and animals to see.
Negatives: dog next door constantly barking from 6am to 6pm.

Oh my gosh what a beautiful experience we had here with our twin two year olds. A true camping trip! First of all Jenny is a lovely lady who will take good care of her guests. Her animals are beautiful and were the highlight of our children’s time, especially patting the horse (Shilo) every day. It’s a beautiful property, we enjoyed walking the trails and has amazing views as it’s a massive property to explore. We enjoyed our fire every morning and night to warm up and there’s an abundance of firewood so you don’t need to bring your own or pay. We also enjoyed some brilliant night skies. The toilets are super clean also.
It’s only a 25min drive from Mudgee which is a beautiful town too.
If there are any negative reviews on this page it’s that person not the place. Just people expecting too much and who should maybe stay at hotels instead. If you are a true camper this is exactly what you are looking for. Thank you Jennye !

Jennye's a lovely host and very welcoming. She genuinely enjoys having people around - but leaves you alone The site is very cute with lots of fairy lights, little schnickschnack and fire pits. The toilet is clean and tidy.
It is very close to the road and hence a bit noisy when traffic starts in the morning.

Great hostess. We camped on the site near the road, which was a little noisy during the day, but no traffic by 7 pm. The site was quiet throughout the night.
A flush toilet was a bonus, but it did need more regular cleaning as the grounds were full over the Easter weekend. There was only one toilet for the whole site.
The proximity to Mudgee was a bonus, and if everyone in the party wants to drink, I recommend looking into the Mudgee Tour Bus Company.
We would stay again if we were travelling to Mudgee.

Had a great time there! The place had everything we needed—free firewood, water, power points, and even waste disposal, which made things super convenient for us. The owner was absolutely lovely and really welcoming—she seemed genuinely happy to have us there. The only downside was the neighbours being a little rude, but apart from that, it was a really good experience overall.

Warmly welcomed by Jenny, loads of space and lovely to have the animals in the next field grazing. Toilet very well maintained and clean, offered free tea and coffee which was a lovely touch.

If you’re looking for the perfect camping experience, this place is an absolute gem! The campsite is incredibly spacious, giving you plenty of room to relax and even enjoy a campfire under the stars. There are beautiful walking trails with stunning views that are perfect for a peaceful stroll.
Jennye, the host, is truly amazing. She went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, from providing us with anything we needed to recommending the best activities in the area. She even introduced us to her friendly animals—a lovely horse and dog—which added such a personal and charming touch to our trip.
The facilities were outstanding, especially the toilets, which were immaculately clean—something you don’t often expect at a campsite! Plus, there are plenty of activities nearby, and the grocery stores in Mudgee are just a short drive away for anything you might need.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough for a peaceful yet adventure-filled getaway. We can’t wait to return!

Jennye is so welcoming !
She has a lovely place, full of animals! Everything is easily accessible. If you want to do some walk you can do it from the camping. If you want to chill and observe the stars you can do it too. We highly recommend it.

Beyond disappointing didn’t live up to the expectations of the photos. The photo are extremely deceptive and don’t highlight how close the camping spots are to the house. I felt like I was just camping in the back yard.

Jennye was a great host. She was kind enough to let our kids interact with Shaila (Horse) and Ziggy (Dog) and answer their gazillion queries :).
Site had all required amenities for fam camping. Also, there is a caravan on site equipped with essential appliances including a small fridge. Toilet was tiny but nice and clean.
Only downside was a noise from road as property is located nearby road. I suggest to choose sites on the hill if you can afford short walk to the toilet. However, I specifically asked for site nearby toilet for our fams so wasn't too bothered by the road noise.

Had a great 3 day stay at Follyfoot Meadows camp-site hosted by the lovely Jennye. We were greeted upon arrival by her and were shown all around where we were staying.
The spot we had rose high and has a full circular view of the vast nature and certain wildlife. There was more room we needed to set up our tents and other necessities for our stay. There is a flushable toilet and sink system powered by rain water to use which was very great to have.
For activities there are animals on her homestead and even neighbouring areas. There is a hiking trail from behind that can provide some great views if that is what you're looking for.
Jennye herself was an outgoing, easy to talk to person that loves to share her home and her animals. You won't find anyone more enthusiastic to showcase that. If there is any problem you might have she can help you out. She was an amazing host and hope to see her again one day.

My best friend (dog) and I had a wonderful time at follyfoot meadows hosted by the amazing Jennye. We were so warmly welcomed the directions were clear and accurate the camp site was clean and clear (plenty of firewood). Jennye and her beautiful animals are so friendly and welcoming. We had the best relaxed atmosphere at the farm also a beautiful bush walk into the great dividing ranges that is maintained so there’s no surprises

We stayed in our camper trailer for 2 nights. Jenny was an excellent host. She welcomed us at the gate and allowed us to choose a flat site. The views were lovely.
She has the cutest toilet set up for campers we have ever seen. The dogs are friendly and ours was welcomed. There are also horses which were in a separate paddock. Fire pits are supplied and solar lights are strung between the trees to give off a casual festive feel.
Unfortunately we did not do any walks but it did look interesting, perhaps another time. Nor did we use the camp kitchen set up in the caravan but it would be great for those camping in tents.
It is just off a busy country road but traffic noise did not bother us. The turn in is tricky if towing as the property gate is very close to the road and you cannot get the trailer off the road before stopping for the gate. It is however on an overtaking section so just give ample indication to following traffic and there should not be any issues. All up it a pleasant place to stay near Mudgee.

We loved camping at Jennye's farm! Initially we wanted to stay close to our van, but in the end we walked up the hill a bit and that was magic! Jennye is not only super friendly and helpful, she has also set up the camp with attention to detail and camper's need in mind. Beautiful walks right on the camp. Definitely a recommend!
