Relax amongst the gum trees in the high country. Burru Farm is set in the bush and features a Bushman’s Hut and space for camping. We are located between Jindabyne and Thredbo so whether it’s snow fun in winter or bush walking and mountain biking in summer, we are in the perfect location…or you can just hide away from it all and enjoy the serenity. Also, just 1km down the road you’ll find Wild Brumby distillery where you can sample the local goodies. This cosy little Bushman's Hut, nestled in the alpine bush, has an open fireplace, bathroom with flushing toilet, hot shower and a wood stove. You can stay in the Hut, or you can bring your own tent or camper and just use the Hut’s facilities. The Hut sleeps two guests. Wake up to Kangaroos and peaceful birdsong. Our house is about 300m away but you will have total privacy amongst the trees. Secluded and peaceful
Bushman's Hut at Crackenback
The Bushman’s Hut was just what we wanted - secluded and peaceful. It has loads of rustic charm with the mod cons of a toilet and shower and is a lot warmer than you think it will be. We couldn’t resist a roaring log fire in the outdoor fire pit - watching the sunset with a glass of wine nestled in the serenity of the bush was perfect. Getting the hut toasty warm with the indoor fireplace in time for dinner was delightful. Bec is a friendly and generous host, greeting us on arrival and sharing valuable local knowledge. 10 out of 10!

Butterfly Camp
We had lovely enjoyable 3 nights here. Perfect place to visit snow fields or towns near by. Host are most welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend Burru Farm .

Loved the camp sites nestled into the natural surrounds. Hosts were fantastic making sure I had everything I needed. The bushman hut is lovely. Use of a real toilet was a great luxury

Very easy to find ..location is stunning When you sight the little hut you will fall in love it’s absolutely gorgeous.. highly recommended 10/10

Bushman's Alpine Camp
A lovely evening camping near Thredbo. Rebecca was very welcoming and greeted us on arrival. Her little cabin is well appointed and enticing but we camped on one of the two sites. very peaceful, private and level ground. Awoke to wallabies grazing by the car. Only a short drive into Thredbo. There is a distillery at the foot of the approach road but didn't appear open in the evening. would certainly stay there again

Bushman's Alpine Camp
We absolutely loved the bushman’s hut. Cosy and secluded, it was great fun pretending to be pioneers. A roaring log fire and basic cooking facilities, but with the luxury of toilets and a hot shower. Perfectly located to head to Thredbo or Jindabyne, couldn’t have found a better spot. We are definitely coming back.

Bushman's Alpine Camp
We had an awesome stay at Bec’s! This is an picturesque bush camping set up with a flushing toilet ! You’re nestled between the trees with lots of grassy areas. The evenings you sit by the fire listening to possums in the trees and the mornings you see kangaroos and deer in the surrounding bush land. A very secluded and private campsite that I would highly recommend! Close to Wildbrumby for a drink or meal and close to the mountain bike trails in thredbo! Great spot!

Best of both worlds
Bushman's Hut at Crackenback
We booked the cabin for our daughter and her kiddies and we also booked two camp sites. The cabin was so cute with large main bed and a single that our little grandson slept on. There was also lots of room for a portable cot as well. Toilet inside with hot shower. Sink and bench to get dinners ready and to clean up. The outdoor toilet was a bonus and we shower in the cabin. It was so lovely waking up to a family of deer and kangaroo. And sitting by the fire in morning and night toasty marshmallow watching the Pygmy possum in the trees is always a winner. We went for morning and afternoon walks with the little ones which they loved to see the wild animals. The property is very central to Jindabyne and Thredbo. So easy to run in to get food or to get on the slopes. Bec and Luke were amazing hosts making sure we had what we needed and giving us some pointers on the area and good location to go. Myself and the family would highly recommend coming to set up the tent or staying in to sweetest wedding hut. Or best of both camping but still getting a hot shower in the cabin.

Bushman's Alpine Camp
We loved our site at Bushman's Alpine camp! A beautiful, secluded setting offering shelter from the wind & convenient to all that nearby Kosciuszko NP has to offer. Spotted wild deer grazing around camp in the dawn (our child is convinced Rudolph was among them). My husband wanted to stay indefinitely. Also had a chance to check out the cabin which offers cosy, rustic accommodation for those preferring to not sleep under canvas. Thank you so much to our friendly hosts, we will return!
