This is an awesome place. Tranquil, peaceful and just beautiful. We had one of the Reddestone Creek sites close to the amenities and by the river. The amenities are really well done and clean.
We only had one night so didn’t have time to explore more of the property but will definitely be back to explore more.

Bullock Mountain - No. 1 Hole
We loved camping on Anne and Mal’s property at No 1 Hole. The area is spacious and we could easily set up our off-road trailer. The established fire pit meant our camp cooking was hassle free and loved that we could sit around the open fire all day long. We did have to keep our dogs on a long lead but that was because they were being way too adventurous. We would also recommend taking a small chainsaw as while there is plenty of wood around it is better if it can be cut to size. We loved the cold and specifically chose June for our trip. It was also handy to have the drop-toilet just a short drive away at the next camping spot.

Fantastic, gorgeous, private campsite. Hear the water in the creek flowing everyday and night with the sounds of native birds and ducks in the water all around you. Plenty of room to explore and bushwalking for the day, fun tracks to explore throughout the property, great amenities block too, to use at anytime! Very private and secluded campsite, drop toilet just a walk up the hill! Owners were very helpful with us and saved us a whole lotta mischief!

Willows Bend
We had a perfect secluded spot surrounded by bush on the river at Willows Bend. Yabbies and fish in the river, and a variety of birds about. Not another soul in site.
All the amenities you need up at the homestead about a 15min drive, or basic ones about a 10min walk away.

Great place to get away from it all, if you can handle remote, self sufficient, quiet and peaceful. Gave the 4wd a workout. Camped at Caves Hole. 2nd time there and would go again for sure. Got a nice Cod and the big one that got away. ✔️✔️✔️

All around great experience. Beautiful property with just the right amount of "civilization" so you feel like you're really getting away. Beautiful scenery, absolute quiet (except for the amazing diversity of birdlife).

Reddestone Creek
Mal and Anne's place was fantastic, it exceeded our expections and was well looked after. On arrival Mal talked us through some campsites we could stay at and we picked the pelican hole. Lovely views, the toilets were clean and didn't smell and it even had running water to wash your hands. The campsite was very tidy and there was a big firepit to use. We collected firewood off the property and had a small fire each night. There is about 5km worth of 4wd track so we had a bit of an explore and went to the old sapphire mine for a swim in the shallower waters because we only have a one year old it was perfect. Plenty of animals to see we saw many many birds, deer, kangaroos and a big red belly black snake. We had our dog with us too and he loved it as well. The facilities near the homestead are clean and very well presented. We used the showers and toilets here on occasion. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful property, we home to be back in the future but for a longer time next time 👍

Lovely property that was larger than we thought. Fun 4WD tracks, different creek spots to visit and fossicking was good fun. The composting toilet was perfectly placed and airy so was lovely and clean to use. Bore water taps on site which was handy for washing and filling up a splash pool for the kids. Water access was down a large bank and getting into the creek was a bit muddy and weedy. Also as it hadn’t rained in a while so it was a bit green. I’d recommend Mal install a pontoon of sorts for easy access.
Weather was so good for summer and cooled at night. Toilets and showers at the homestead about a ten min drive which was handy. All in all this was an excellent spot and our hosts were very accommodating.

On arrival we found out we were not going to be given the camp site we’d originally booked “reddestone creek” as it had been given to someone else. The new site “number 1” was still good, however further away from amenities. I was a little disappointed with the lack of explanation on fossicking for sapphires, as this was a big interest of mine and reason as to why I’d picked this property. Would have appreciated some instructions or guidance as to what to do and what to look for, particularly when this is listed in the description as an activity to do.

Site 1 - Cave's Hole
We love the camping at Bullock Mountain.
Mal met us at Homestead and gave us a quick tour of the amenities, and then a map to our campsite.
What a great place !!

When we went we had the whole saphire mine area to ourself so felt very special. Mal was very welcoming and showed us what to look for and how to fossick. We found a few tiny sapphires.
The showers were clean, beautiful and perfect relief after a week of travelling the area.

Loved the place - remote and calm. We were very well received and given a map with the rules and advices. At the remote camp there's a drop toilet and at the homestead (around 4Km from the campsite) there are hot showers (I wasn't even counting on that - so very positive)
We spotted a big cod in the river but were not able to catch it - maybe next time? haha Will definitely be back.

Reddestone Creek
Lovely property. Amenities block in great condition. I stayed at a Reddestone Creek site as I only had a 2WD. I went bushwalking to the old Sapphire Mine site and saw some wonderful sites that I wish I were able to get to. 4WD or AWD high clearance vehicle definately needed. 95% sure my hiace van would not have made it.

Me and my partner and a friend stayed at sapphire mine 2 this weekend. We absolutely loved it and have no complaints at all with the site. We loved that we had privacy and a beautiful fire pit provided to us etc. everything was amazingly spot on when it came to the camp site, absolutely amazing open space to do all you’re favourite camping activities and would be amazing for families, however getting there was quite hard, we had a Ute that would be considered a high clearance vehicle, Mel’s ad stated that high clearance vehicles and 4WD are absolutely FINE for this, it was quite risky taking it down to the paths provided,
We came across a few bumps along the way and had some difficulties, definitely only bring 4WD. We went down the supposed 2WD track and because of the uneven and very risky paths, we ripped our bash plate off, if you are considering doing this track just be cautious of the paths provided. Other than that everything was perfect.

Lovely spot at camp site 1, next to a pretty creek, powered, water available, fire spot and chairs and table. Host was lovely and was happy to show us to our spot, amenities were spotless and amazing. Three sweet dogs (two border collies and a blue heeler) will greet you on arrival. Would 100% recommend!

We loved our stay at Pelican Hole camp. So peaceful with views of the river. It was so nice to wake up to sounds of the birds. Enjoyed exploring the property on foot and by car. Lovely spots along the river and so many trees.

We stayed in cabin 1 and had the most wonderful time. Everything you need is in the cabin. Plenty of hiking and wildlife to see around the property! We have a sedan and managed to drive up to the property with no problems. Thanks again
