Great spot by the river to enjoy time with friends, disconnect from tech and connect with nature. Amazing star gazing at night.
Bathroom facilities are very basic, an upgrade would be good. For the price, was good value and we had a fabulous time.

The facilities are in need of renovation and bathrooms especially are run down. There is insufficient noise control resulting in a lot of stress from roudy young people partying nearly all night. Some carried until 3am . I did not expect such noise levels.

This campsite is an absolute gem. Waking up to a river wrapped in soft morning fog felt like something out of a postcard. The stillness at sunrise was breathtaking — mist hovering over the water, birds calling in the distance, and the first light reflecting off the glassy surface. Sliding a kayak into the river at that hour was pure magic. Calm water, cool air, and complete serenity. It’s the kind of peaceful experience you rarely find anymore.
The facilities were well maintained and thoughtfully laid out, but what truly made the stay exceptional were the hosts. They were warm, welcoming, and clearly take pride in creating a respectful, relaxing environment for everyone. You can tell they care about both the land and the people staying there.
The fellow campers were just as impressive — friendly, considerate, and mindful of quiet hours. It created a safe, comfortable atmosphere where you could fully unwind without disruption.
If you’re looking for a campsite that combines natural beauty, tranquil river mornings, and a genuinely positive community vibe, this place delivers on every level. Five stars without hesitation.

Great next to the river. The camping areas are not very good and worst of all the facilities are so bad they should demolished them and start again.
Price is far to high for what you get.

Loved the location, unfortunately we booked around the rains, but yet was very peaceful and safe. The river is the attraction. Would recommend to friends and visit again.

The location was beautiful, pretty packed, but heaps of spaces to set up camp. Richard was very helpful when we had questions and welcoming. The river was also amazing, perfect temperature for summer, but I think it would be a perfect camp spot all year round :)

I loved tent camping at our sites at bielany campgrounds we had three campsites all up to for the 8 of us and there was so much shade. It was also very spacious so we didn’t feel like we were sitting on top of each other! We also had all 4 dogs there and they loved swimming in the lake everyday.

Beautiful area but no network coverage. Secluded private property next to the river. Firepits were a pain. Will definitely be back with friends and our own firepit 😇

Overall it's was an ok spot to camp on short notice.
The site is set out I'm 3 levels with a steep and very dusty slope to get up and down each level. I was towing a 2.4T caravan and it was fine, if it was wet it would be extremely difficult.
Even though you are on the river you can't actually see the river from your sites, there is a big wall of Bambo on the way. There are only 3 access points to the river and they are Narrow and quiet steep. If a group has set up in each of them it is difficult to get access.

I had such a good experience at bielany campground. Such a peaceful place to stay with family and kids. Owner was so sweet and helpful would definitely come back here.

Great camping site. Plenty of room without feeling too close to others.
Loved the easy access to the river and the facilities were excellent for camp sites I have stayed at in the area.

Camp sites are clean and direct access to the river is a bonus. Ammenities are outdated but do the job. Bring your own firewood, they sell out fast. If mobile reception is important to you, only Telstra will get 1 bar of service, other providers won’t work. For the Christmas / NY week it didn’t feel over crowded. Caretakers are friendly and flexible. We didn’t want to leave and added 2 extra nights over NYE and it was no problem. We will definitely be back.

Overall it was a good experience. The photos make it seem more secluded than it is. Unfortunately we were a bit packed in but it was the holidays so understandable. The bathrooms were basic but better than drop toilets, and the showers were fine. The most redeeming quality of the site is the river, and although we weren't directly on it like the photos led us to believe, we were only a 30 second walk to one of the entry points of the river -- which was stunning. There was a noise curfew at 10pm which was nice and everyone was compliant. A friendly lace monitor (big lizard) roamed occasionally but stayed clear of campers. Some neighbours were nice and were trading firewood and tools, others shone their high beams into our camp at 9:30pm and left their car idling whilst they yelled at their dogs. It's camping 🤷♀️ overall it was good, but not as isolated as the pictures led on.

We had a lovely time at Bielany, first of all place is full of old tall trees, river has clear water and we saw a bush turkey jumping up thru trees! I'd recommend!

Easy to get to - just outside of Sydney, and obvious entrance off the road. Had lots of space, so Friday night was chilled, but it still packed out Saturday night. Fire pits along the whole area, but it was concerning that no fire ban was enforced (everyone seemed to be having one) despite it being a total fire ban. The whole place is right beside the river, which is beautiful and not too deep, so good for all ages; 2 or 3 separate entrances around the campsites so easy access for everyone. Unfortunately 2 out of 3 toilet blocks work at the moment, and 1 out of 3 (females) have working lights. I'd recommend just cleaning off by having a swim in the river.

I wouldn’t stay here again, even though the river was great. There was a total fire ban for 24 hrs and I saw at least 5 campsites with fires and no caretaker monitoring this. The place was jam-packed. Unf my immediate neighbours stayed up until 3am with an open fire, talking loudly, banging car doors and playing music. I asked them to be quiet twice. Again, no caretaker to supervise and when it’s a Hipcamp, I do expect some monitoring.

Unfortunately the facilities really let this campsite down. Gorgeous location on the creek, however the toilet and shower blocks were falling down and had clearly not been cleaned for a while, featuring mud all over the floor, dirty discarded underwear and lots of rubish (the men's showers being completely unusable) a real shame, and sadly not worth the money we paid to stay here.

Good: Beautiful location - nice clean shallow river, beautiful surrounding trees, birds with their relaxing signing
Need to improve: Family arriving at midnight and everyone being loud until 3am. Shouldn't allowed arrival after certain time and need to police noise as these situations wreck the whole trip. Simple fixes like soap in toilet and ideally a little refurb of facilities. Manager could also be a little more welcoming on arrival (we are guests/customers not people who should be treated as an inconvenience)
NB: A little shallow for decent fishing so would need to hope in the car or kayak to access better areas

Our camping experience was wonderful. The site was mostly in shade, close to amenities & the river. The river was great for our 6 year old, high tide for a good swim & low tide for playing in the sand & collecting sticks. The amenities could do with an update but the fact there’s hot showers is amazing. Would definitely go again.
