It was as advertised. Inside the cabin was clean.
It did, however, lack any sense of welcoming. I knew it was primitive camping and that is what we wanted, but a nice touch would be to mow a path thru the weeds in the yard surrounding the cabin so guests can get to it, the table, fire pit and outhouse without fighting thru multiple types of thorny, 4-5 ft tall brambles and burs, and pick up the dog crap all around the picnic table area from the previous guests for the next guest so I didn't have to.
The 2nd night when we returned from sightseeing the hosts were putting a new gate in and blocking the road. We pulled in and waited patiently for quiet some time and was completely ignored until my husband got out to talk to them and even helped move the gate. The guy driving the tractor acted really put out that we bothered them.
I guess if the primitive conditions were reflected in the price it would be OK, but the price was comparable to cabins in nice developed parks so maybe a little more care to making guests feel welcome would go a long way.
It wasn't a bad stay, just meh.
