5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse!
A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured.
There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities.
Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area.
Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group.
We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses.
The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance.
Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking.

Pets must be kept on a leash. Lake Preston has a limestone shore, and access is via a limestone track in front of our house. You can paddle your canoe or kayak, or simply enjoy a walk. Please note, the lake is very salty.
Some great nearby spots to visit include the Crooked Carrot Café, Old Coast Road Brewery, Vineyard 28, and Footprints Café at Preston Beach. Both Myalup Beach and Preston Beach offer fishing spots and are dog-friendly.

We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property.
You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views.
It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime.
There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace.
The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks.
The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt.
During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited!

There are also a HUGE number of factors that can affect your stay that I have ZERO control over... The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... oh, and roosters - we have them too!
If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region.
There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm).
THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY.
The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past).
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property.
There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).

If the bush walk isn’t for you then laying back watching the kangaroos admiring the beautiful valley views and taking all the serenity of the Forrest in is another option.
These sites require full self contained vans with dumping points available in town. Power and wifi is also available for an additional $10 a per/day
There is bore water available at the camp site and although it’s clean and we use the same water- it is unfiltered.
There is also a small fire pit available but only for the cooler months.

The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance.
Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking.

The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... oh, and roosters - we have them too!
If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past).
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property.
There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).

There is bore water available at the camp site and although it’s clean and we use the same water- it is unfiltered.
There is also a small fire pit available but only for the cooler months.

We stayed in site 6 - was lovely and peaceful. The track looks a bit scary but it’s nice and firm just go slow. We did get sort of lost at first but Paul was quick to respond with directions.
So many pretty birds around that you can see and hear. We visited in Jan and while there is lots of dead grass around (naturally) this is still a beautiful spot by the water. It was quite flat too so that was a nice little bonus.
We would definitely stay again.

This was our second visit in 3 months, and is still one of our favourite places to camp. The tranquility of the lake in front of your campsite, the birlife in the trees above and the absence of traffic noise, makes it a truly relaxing place to be. Plenty of space between campers, and apart from a friendly check-in by the owner, you are left to your own devices. It was nice to see the progress that has been made since our last trip, in improving the natural environment.

What a gem of a campsite! This spacious site right next to a beautiful lake was perfect for our setup, plenty of room to fit multiple campers if needed. We pitched a large tent and even put up a gazebo without feeling cramped at all. The location is peaceful and scenic, ideal for a relaxing getaway.
The hosts, Paul and his wife, were absolutely lovely, they stopped by the next day to check in on us, which was a really nice touch and made us feel welcome.
A couple of practical notes, the ground is quite sandy with some black dust (likely local soil), so bring a good groundsheet or be prepared for a bit of cleanup. Mozzies do come out in the evening, but with some repellent spray and a Thermacell, we were totally fine, no issues at all.
We were only the second group to camp here, so it feels like a hidden spot that’s just getting started. Also, there are no toilet facilities on site yet, so you’ll need to bring your own portapotti. Can’t wait to see the upcoming improvements, it’s already great, but it’s going to be even better once polished up!
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, roomy lakeside escape. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was epic and full of unique surprises!
What a place to stay. I don’t want to give too much away but deffo the funnest camp site we have stayed at.
We didn’t go for a swim as it was very cold / windy so can’t comment on that.
Loved all the birds roaming - except the nosey cockerel haha!
Absolutely loved every second here. Already recommended to friends.
Our only complaints would be about nothing related to the ground itself.
There was what sounded like fun shots in the distant neighbouring property which was terrifying one of our dogs which was unfortunate.
The owners also but in the description to keep dogs on leads and we had a few unleashed dogs run into our camp where we had 2 leashed friendly dogs - but they wasn’t too pleased with visitors coming in our space.
