⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a fantastic stay at RAC Busselton Holiday Park. The park is incredibly well maintained, with spotless facilities and a very welcoming team. Everything feels organized and thoughtfully designed to make your stay comfortable. What really stands out is the structure — there’s so much to do. From pools and games areas to open spaces and activities, it’s the kind of place where you can enjoy your time without even needing to leave the park. The atmosphere is peaceful and surrounded by nature, which makes it perfect to relax and disconnect. Great for families, couples or even solo travelers looking for comfort and quality. Highly recommended — definitely a place I would come back to.

We loved staying at Deepdene Farmstay. Our host, Justin, welcomed us onto his property. The amenities are great including the rustic Camp Kitchen. It was a wonderful place to return to & relax after busy days sightseeing in the local area. Very peaceful & relaxing stay.

Busselton camping guide

When to go

Temperatures can be very hot throughout summer, especially in January the thermometer can soar to above 30 degrees celsius between December and March. June and July are cooler. Spring, Autumn and Winter and top times to visit Margaret River and surrounds. Whale watching season runs from around June to early December. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales.

The remote parks operated by the Parks & Wildlife Service have no power, nor running water or wifi and mobile phone coverage.
If driving, watch out for kangaroos, especially at dawn and dusk.

Whale watching trips are offered from Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River.
Busselton has a good fishing/camping gear shop.
