I really enjoyed my stay at Toobz & would definitely book again if I were visiting the area - such a gorgeous, quiet, tranquil setting that is super close to town but feels like it is worlds away. Lovely outlook & lots of little birds flitting about. The fairylight bedecked safari style shower is a pretty magical experience, as well.
Did not meet the host IRL, but he was very easy to deal with via the Hipcamp messaging
Mobility/access info:
I'm a 160cm chubby gal in her 50's with a dodgy knee.
Given the setting I had anticipated there would be uneven ground & had no problem navigating either the small step up to Toobz 1&2 , or the small step down into the sunken shower base.
Two challenges I hadn't reckoned on ahead of arriving however were the significant step up required to access the toilet (upturned milk crate + 2 inches, no hand rail), and the bed being situated significantly higher off the floor than anything I've previously encountered (at waist height for me). I did manage - just - to access both the toilet & bed, but it was a stretch & if I were returning I would definitely bring a low step/stool of the type little kids use to assist me with accessing the loo & the bed.
I would also pack a head torch (there is some low wattage path lighting, but also much darkness) + a short extension lead, as the power outlets - in Toob #1 at least - were situated immediately below a shelf & thus could not accommodate any device plugs that require clearance above the power outlet.

Such a beautiful and fun spot to stay! An easy walk or bike ride into the main part of town. Funny wildlife made the stay even better and the beautiful starry night was breathtaking.
Richard’s Toobizmo’s are so cute and convenient, the outdoor toilet is like a throne and showers are hot and easy to use, and the surrounding garden is also a lovely highlight. I highly recommend this stay!

We absolutely loved staying in the tubes! Super comfortable with really nice shower facilities, it was a really quick walk into town and had everything we needed.
Would absolutely recommend for anyone who wants something a bit different and exciting when staying in Margaret river!

We loved the toobizmo! Such a peaceful spot and a very unique place to stay! Richard has done a wonderful job creating such an epic hipcamp. We will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay at Toobizmo! The land was beautiful and the tubes were very cozy and had plenty of room for our stuff. The bathroom was so cute and we loved the outdoor shower. Richard was a kind and helpful host. Definitely recommend this place for an affordable and fun glamping option to explore Margaret River.

The accommodation was lovely. The property was very peaceful and beautiful. The bed was comfy and very cozy. Enjoyed the outside shower and all the birds that came to visit. We would come back again.

We absolutely loved our stays at Richards Toobizmos. Second time coming back and would be back another thousand times if we could. From the peaceful bush setting, to the outdoor shower the whole experience magic. Super friendly and accommodating host and amazing location. A hard 10/10!

Great spot in the trees, close to bush and walking trails, comfy little pod. Love the outdoor shower and compost toilet. Good for someone like me who wanted minimal distractions and brought my own chair/table/camp stove. Friendly host.

We had a lovely weekend at Toobizmo! The toobs were cozy and comfortable, the surroundings were gorgeous, and the outdoor bathroom and shower were downright magical. Super easy access into Margaret River village on foot. Richard was really lovely, responsive, and helpful.

Great place to stay! What a cool experience. The beds were really comfy. The tubes have a cosy vibe to them. It was a little cold (we did stay in mid July 😂) but with the electric blanket it was fine. The outdoor shower / toilet were cool too. Would recommend!

I loved how private the Pods felt and how warm they were, even in the winter! Great location from the town with an easy 15 min walk through the woods into town. Heard no noise apart from Kangaroos when I got back late at night which was amazing. Will defo come back!

For a perfect getaway in what seems to be the middle of the countryside, but is indeed a few minutes walk from Margaret River, through the forest, Richard's Toobizmos were the ideal option. Fun accommodation concept and community-oriented living areas made the stay very enjoyable.

My partner and I stayed for one night , although the weather was a little wet the accommodation was extremely cozy and relaxing. The outdoor shower in the rain was lovely and we both loved waking up to the beautiful garden filled with birds. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and easy place to stay . Also a short walk through the bush to the brewery or town :)

Great place to stay as a solo traveler. Clever concept, with minimal impact on surroundings. I did take an electric kettle..can't manage without a cup of tea. 4 plug power board in toob. Heaps of storage space under the bed.

It was a different experience with both my dog and I enjoying our time. Richard was very nice and helpful, and the children were lovely. Pepper the pup was also a big hit. The location was great with walking trails on the door stop, including one to town. It was ten minutes to the beach. However I am not convinced about the accommodation. If you are tall it would probably be hard to fit in the space, which is essentially an elevated double bed and about 60 centimetres between the bed and the door. The days were hot, making the space uncomfortable. I am not sure what one would do if it was raining. There is also limited privacy. But it seems to be a work in progress and has possibilities.
