Hidden View is a peaceful, private campsite with stunning views over Lake Eildon and the surrounding hills. Set on a flat clearing within a 15-acre property, it's ideal for families looking to escape and unwind. The area is fenced in all one one small section (you can block off) and features: - A Funky Monkey Australian-made playground - Large open fire pit with cooking plates - Undercover outdoor kitchen with BBQ (supply own gas and hose connection) - Outdoor dining area with table that seats 8 people - Limited rainwater (non-potable) supply - please not not rely on this as it is subject to seasonal rains. There is however a dedicated tank for putting out the fire. …and more While the onsite "shack" is not included, there is a caravan available featuring a queen-size bed and king single bed can also be rented separately—please see our other listing for details. We only ever host one family or group at a time, so you’ll have the place to yourselves. Note: Please submit a booking request, and we’ll confirm availability. If we’re already booked, we’ll get back to you promptly. Essentials to know: - 25 mins to Alexandra and Eildon; 40 mins to Mansfield - Partially unsealed road access - No power on site - BYO camp toilet and rubbish removal required - Firewood may be collected from fallen timber on the property - As we are on the side of a cliff the earth is hard and rocky, which can make pitching a tent challenging (you'll need to tent multiple locations)

Melbourne Christmas Tree Farm

4. Melbourne Christmas Tree Farm

Plumpton, VIC · 25 sites · Tents, RVs
Have you ever been to a Christmas tree farm… and have you ever slept on one? 🎄✨ At the Melbourne Christmas Tree Farm, you can do both - offering a truly unique camping experience surrounded by rows of real Christmas trees in a peaceful, open setting. This is a fantastic place to slow down, unwind, and spend quality time outdoors while enjoying something a little different from your usual campsite. Despite the tranquil farm atmosphere, the location is incredibly convenient: just 35 minutes from Melbourne CBD, 8 minutes from Rockbank Train Station, and only 10 minutes from grocery stores and Watergardens Shopping Centre. The property is safe and secure, with fencing at the front. A tap for water is available (though we still recommend bringing your own water to be prepared). There are no toilets or power available so campers will need to be self-sufficient. We cater comfortably for caravans and motorhomes, with mostly flat land making setup easy. Tents are more than welcome, and the property is pet friendly, so your furry companions can join you too. During the Christmas season—from mid-November through to Christmas Eve—the farm can be a little louder at times due to Christmas tree cutting. That said, campers are positioned at a safe distance, and noise generally isn’t an issue. We also have a few cattle that move throughout the property, though they are mostly sectioned off from camping areas. We’d absolutely love for you to spend time on our property and enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. Once you arrive, the owners will personally direct you to your camping area, ensuring you’re set up comfortably. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to message us—we’re always happy to help. 🌿🎄
