There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Amplified music is not allowed. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

Excellent yabby dams on property for the kids and adults who want to do some yabbying. Also eels in a another couple of dams on property, so it certainly has something for all anglers. 550 acre property which has 3 different seasonal creeks flowing through it. Six excellent hideaway Camping sites to choose from. Some close to the water. Large sites which can handle 40 campers per site. Good areas of bushland and also a working sheep farm. Very private areas for camping. Campfires available but only in months when fire restrictions are not in force. A wide range of birdlife and duck life, wildlife including kangaroos, possums, echidnas. In wet weather you may need a 4 wheel drive vechile to access some of the sites. You will need to bring all your camping gear as these are tent and vechile sites only. We dont have any huts at this stage. 30 minute drive to Ballarat, 45 Min Geelong, 2 minutes drive to the village of Elaine and The Farmgate Shop which is open 7 days a week with a full range of all groceries, bbq needs, drinks, snacks, etc. 5 minutes to dollys creek, 5 minutes to Mt Doran/Lal Lal, 10 minutes to Meredith. Weekend Trip to The Irish affect
Our stay at this site was an awesome adventure. Paul and his family were so accommodating. Paul made sure we were stocked with firewood for both days of our stay and his wife the boss drove us into town so we could attend the Spilt milk festival. He even offered to walk us back to our camp site when the uber dropped us off at the gate after our night. The camp has a shower and a toilet which are well maintained and the sites are very well spaced so we felt comfortable in our own area. We felt so safe on this stay and very well looked after. As we drove onto the property, I instantly felt like I could breathe — it was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at the Creek Flat site, which was perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The host was very friendly and happily answered all our questions, which made the stay even easier. The property is large, with plenty of wildlife and farm animals wandering around, adding to the charm. We only stayed for two nights but truly wished we could have stayed longer.

Really enjoyed our weekend at Sandy Flat, Rodborough Vale, Mark is a great host and went out of way to meet us just after arrival and let us know a little bit about his property and the surrounding area. Clear directions and the site area was clean and tidy. We would highly recommend Rodborough Vale.

Second visit to Rodborough Vale and still a firm favourite. Beautiful location, fishing was excellent and large sized campsite (weeping willow). Mark, the host, is welcoming and keeps the sites in good condition. Easy drive from Bendigo or Ballarat, highly recommend. Dog friendly for well behaved dogs.

Island Bend was a spacious campsite with lovely views and creek to have a dip in. Mark was very welcoming and checked in on us when needed. Highly recommend this campsite for big groups who require their own large space.
