Welcome to Summerhill Vineyard! Pitch your tent or park your camper on a private, elevated position overlooking vineyards, farmland and surrounding mountain ranges. Enjoy plenty of space and peace and quiet. The campsite is located on the edge of our 32-acre vineyard, on a 120-acre property. Guests are welcome to take a walk amongst the vines, subject to vineyard operations during the season of course. All guests must be self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Fire restrictions in place during your stay must be observed. Firewood is available for purchase from a neighbour, located opposite the entrance to Summerhill Road. 4wd accessible during the wetter months and 2wd during the drier months. You are welcome to bring your dog, just please note that the area is unfenced. We have a mob of kangaroos that visit and cattle and horses reside here also. We ask that our guests display responsible pet ownership at all times. Summerhill Vineyard is located in the Upper Yarra region of the Yarra Valley. We are a 5-minute drive from Yarra Junction township, with supermarkets, butchers and a small shopping precinct. The picturesque township of Warburton is just over 7kms away. Restaurants, cafes, and wineries are all a short drive from here. Yarra Ranges National Park is also on our door step. We are a 1hr 15mins drive from Melbourne, though Summerhill Vineyard will have you feeling a world away. The Yarra Valley offers quality local food and wine, breathtaking scenery, walks, cycling tracks, and tourist destinations like Healesville Sanctuary, Lotus Water Gardens, Warburton Rail Trail and much more. Or.....you can chill out and just enjoy the serenity and views from your campsite. My family live on the property, close to 1/2km from the campsite, far enough away for your complete privacy, or close enough if you need us! Excellent Trout Fishing in large dams on property. Rainbow and Brown trout stocked in both dams. Good sized fish. Old , Rustic Bush Hut at main campsite which has verandah, wooden floor, and can be used for sleeping in or as general purpose area. Excellent yabby dams on property for the kids and adults who want to do some yabbying. Also eels in a another couple of dams on property, so it certainly has something for all anglers. 550 acre property which has 3 different seasonal creeks flowing through it. Six excellent hideaway Camping sites to choose from. Some close to the water. Large sites which can handle 40 campers per site. Good areas of bushland and also a working sheep farm. Very private areas for camping. Campfires available but only in months when fire restrictions are not in force. A wide range of birdlife and duck life, wildlife including kangaroos, possums, echidnas. In wet weather you may need a 4 wheel drive vechile to access some of the sites. You will need to bring all your camping gear as these are tent and vechile sites only. We dont have any huts at this stage. 30 minute drive to Ballarat, 45 Min Geelong, 2 minutes drive to the village of Elaine and The Farmgate Shop which is open 7 days a week with a full range of all groceries, bbq needs, drinks, snacks, etc. 5 minutes to dollys creek, 5 minutes to Mt Doran/Lal Lal, 10 minutes to Meredith. Its a hidden gem. We are happy to take your booking. Sorry strictly no dogs allowed.

We had a lovely weekend away staying at Rivers Run. Lovely quiet grassed area, with fire pit fully loaded and ready to go! Michelle was great with communication, and our dog had a lovely time with their beautiful and friendly dog. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet spot to get away.

We had the best time tent camping over the long weekend and will definitely be back in the future! Jana was an incredible host, providing clear instructions, firewood and even towing both our cars out on the last day! If there’s been rain or rain is predicted I would recommend having 4WD access at this site however Jana came to the rescue towing us out and making sure we got home safe! Toilets and a sink to wash your hands were a bonus too and always clean and stocked with toilet paper. Thanks again Jana, your property was beautiful and your hospitality put a cherry on top of a great weekend.

Gorgeous site right by the lake! Beautiful scenery on a clear sunny day, have some patience with the fishing, they are in there jumping around, we didn't catch any but was great for relaxing during the long Cup weekend. Mark was a great host showing us both sites and giving us the freedom to set up camp wherever we wanted. We had fantastic weather until it rained, then it was a bit treacherous driving and towing out of the muddy paddock (take it slow and steady), best to stay when the weather is forecasted or certain to be dry

Lovely quiet spot, secluded but with a dam, and a winter running creek. Sound of sheep and magpies and little else. Mark let us use the tin shed and we slept in there instead of erecting a tent. Plenty of wood around for a fire. Not too distant from Meredith and the Brisbane Ranges.

Tonya met us at the gate and guided us through her beautiful property to our tranquil campsite in the vines. Up at our site we felt we had acres of picturesque landscape all to ourselves. We had a wonderful time camping at Yarra. The place feels calm and close to nature — the perfect escape from busy life. Although it’s part of a berry farm, the farms are nicely scattered across the landscape, so it never feels like you’re inside one. Our campsite was well away from the farm sections, giving us great privacy and a real sense of solitude. A special mention to Janaka, the manager, who was incredibly welcoming and always available if we needed anything. He dropped off a huge pile of firewood for us and took the time to share his knowledge about the local wildlife and how the farm operates. His hospitality really made the experience even better. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly place surrounded by beautiful nature — perfect for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with the outdoors. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and peaceful location! Jana was a great host and kindly showed us to our site. We had the place to ourselves apart from wallabies and wombats. It was great to allow our dog off lead and we loved exploring the huge site. We used the plumbed toilets up at the main farm building, and also had a tap there to refill our water. We would definitely come back again.

Beautiful site in a quiet corner of the winery. Lovely outlook especially with the fire pit on site. Close to town (we rode our bikes) but still had kangaroos and a wombat wander through the site.
