We enjoyed a week in a tent at the scout camp, and are very grateful they're willing to share the place with others. Plenty of gas-fired instant hot water for the showers, potable water, and it felt safe and secure. Although on 80 acres, the allocated Hipcamp area was in the south east corner, near Hearn Rd and Park Rd. There's an urban bus stop in Hearn Rd ~250m from the camp entrance.

We loved our stay, and will definitely be back. The Olive farm was a perfect weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of life - we could slow down, soak in the sun, bird song and beautiful landscapes. Our 12 year old loved the kayaks available to paddle around the dam and up the creek. A great spot if you’re a bird watcher as we sighted many species.

Really nice secluded, private spot with a ripper toilet and friendly, likeable host. Chris' place is spacious and secluded with some interesting rustic metal antiques placed around the property. There's a couple of very solid tables for storing food stuff and doing your cooking & washing up so don't bother bringing a camp table like we did!

Wow! What a great little camp. We booked here to be close to Sovereign Hill for the kids. It was a lovely little camp for our group of two families. The grass was green, the sun was shining, there was plenty of shade and great facilities around the camp fire, like tables. We loved the rusty relics but a true highlight was the Powder Room. Thanks for having us Chris. We hope to be back one day. Don't hesitate in booking Penzance. One of our favourite campsites this trip.

In the middle of the bush, in the middle of suburbia! Close to the beach and shops for supplies if needed. Plenty of space, but flat ground is limited. Heaps of ground wood to keep you warm and big fire drums to burn it in. Hot water was patchy, but grateful for toilets and showers that were there. Comms were great and were made to feel welcome, thankyou.

Loved our mini stay - quiet and relaxing. Lots of space and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely and peaceful. Would have loved to extend, but had to get back to the daily ‘grind’. We did have some trouble figuring out how to get the water hot, not sure if that is a permanent issue - didn’t reach out to the hosts as we were too relaxed to worry about it! Steve was an amazing host! Right from the get go, he was friendly, accommodating and helpful. The property is beautiful, and an added bonus of Milo the dog who loves pats. Steve let us use his firewood, and it's great quality! We had two fired and not once did we smell of smoke. We were able to hook up to water and electricity at the property and there was heaps of space between us and the next campers. Everyone there was so lovely, the kids all ride their bikes around and played games. It's super safe as the gate is always shut, so our minds could relax as our kids and dog were safe. Only bummer was that the pool wasn't working, but there is a cool little indoor swim centre just 300 metres up the road. However, Steve is going to get around to fixing the pool this weekend. Steve was always making sure all campers were happy and was helping out where ever he could, despite having quiet a bad back. Honestly, could not fault our trip at all. Steve is a genuine, kind person and we would love to come back again.

It had a nice atmosphere about it. The host Steve very accommodating, arranging an outdoor fire for the guests to mingle around and he even let us use his gas pizza oven...so highly recommended.
