This acreage was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool place to stay in the Macedon Ranges.
Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala.
With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce.
Walking the trails around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min.

We loved the outlook of the paddock which has views over the property dam and surrounding ranges. The site access is very easy for a large van and the site is fairly level.
The hosts, Shelly and Craig, are very accommodating, and took the time to chat with us and show our kids their two beautiful horses and four doggies.
The camp is a short drive off the freeway, so access is easy. Yet, you could be anywhere as there is absolutely no noise.

Straight off the Geelong Ferry and drove straight to these guys . Perfect communication by Shelly and met by Craig for a late check in at 9. Lovely flat site , quiet, peaceful , but straight off the highway . Suited us for an overnight stay .

Great little spot next to a dam, private and serene. Bit tight of a spot, couldn't do more than a few people. Very scenic area. Happy with our stay tho I feel it's a tad pricey for what it is, the layout was a little awkward and no water/power/toilet which you may usually find in this price range.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Canna Vale, and look forward to returning soon.
The extremely large, well maintained paddock sites mean that even when sharing the location with others there is plenty of room for everyone.
The ducks enjoying the nearby dam provided delightful entertainment without intruding on us. Nor did they block out the spectacular sunset view.
A great camp site, definitely a great place to visit.

The hosts were friendly, highly accommodating and understanding when we were running late to check in. The spot was incredibly peaceful, lovely little dam which can be seen from the campsite. Their dogs are all so friendly and cute - we loved giving them aomr pats 😍

This is one of those camping spots that quietly ticks all the boxes. Tucked away enough to feel peaceful and remote, but still easy to access, it’s ideal for anyone wanting to properly switch off for a few days.
The ground is nice and flat for tents, and there’s a great mix of shade during the day and open sky at night—perfect for stargazing by the fire.
Clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature, this is a campsite you leave already planning your return visit.
