Take a 1/2 day or full day trip into the mountains and see the mighty Snowy River and Little River Gorge. Buchan is also a 45 minute drive to the ocean and the 90 mile beach. Grandview is one of the original homesteads of Buchan, which we are in the process of lovingly restoring. We have the belief that this place is to be shared. The farm backs onto the Mt Alfred State Forest and is close to the beautiful Mitchell River National park. Mt Alfred is a fantastic forest with many great tracks to explore on horse back, mountain bike or on foot. Horses and dogs are welcome. There is plenty of space on a large, grassy flat area for camping and parking. There are paddocks for horses and a guide is available. The farm and surrounding bush is an Owl habitat and the property has an amazing abundance of bird life. It is just 25 minutes from Bairnsdale and the Gippsland lakes where you can explore the beautiful beaches and walking tracks. There are shops available for basic supplies within 10 minutes. We have a fire pit for you to light a campfire. There is a drop toilet and shower. Please take all rubbish with you on departure.

We are a working farm with cattle. The property features dense forest, sparse forest and open paddocks. The farm has calves which are hand fed, lots of birdlife, a dam for canoeing, and a pontoon on the dam for sunbaking. Our property is located close to Mt Baw Baw, 1.5 hours from Mt Hotham, and 40 mins to beach. Sit around the campfire in the evenings and enjoy a little star gazing. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to a drinking water supply. There is a shelter with a basic kitchen including an oven, cooktop burner and a dishwashing station. The kitchen has a pot belly fireplace to keep warm. We ask that you leave no trace and take all rubbish and belongings with you. During wet weather our paddocks do get a bit boggy so please send me a message to discuss, if you're unsure about your vehicle. We're located close to the snowies for all your mountain and snow adventures. Mountain bike riding and National Parks nearby, enjoy a quiet weekend or as busy as you like. Well behaved pets welcome.

This promised peace and few sites and it delivered. Only 3 camping groups in a large paddock surrounded by rolling hills. Walk across the road to the pub and General Store, 10 minute drive to Bluffs Reserve with a good swimming hole and had the good fortune to be there for Buchan Makers Market.

Had a great time with our family and friends! We parked up near the fire pit overlooking the horses and cows in the paddock. Was the perfect place for the kids to run around and the grass was very well kept. Will be returning for sure!

Tony’s farm is absolutely beautiful! When we arrived, Tony was very welcoming, and once we’d settled in, we had plenty of privacy. There was loads of space for our boys to kick the footy and ride their quad bike. I highly recommend Tony’s farm — it’s flat, completely grassed, and perfect for relaxing. You can light a fire (when restrictions allow) and unwind under the stars. The facilities are great too — there’s a drop toilet, a shelter with running water, and even a hot shower! The site is so accommodating, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thank you, Tony, for welcoming us and introducing us to your beautiful horses, sheep, and of course, the friendly doggos!

Wide expansive well kept grassed area for tents or in my case a camper trailer. I just parked on small concreted area near the Old Dairy/Cabin. I didn't use power but is available. Be aware there is now amnesties or water available on site. Easy walk to village and Pub. Food was great at the pub, and generous. Would use again, was made very easy by Paul and Kristie and thier info leading up to visit was spot on Thanks D

We loved camper trailer camping at Tony’s farm. It was so peaceful being next to the State Forest. The views were stunning, the facilities (shelter, bbq, picnic table, fire pit, hot shower and toilet) was amazing! Tony is super friendly and gave us great tips on what to see on the area. Our three pups were very welcomed and even met Tony’s horse. We look forward to staying again.

Weekend Trip to SIBA Retreat Centre

Cabin 4 was a great experience. My wife and I had a fantastic time in the seclusion and serenity. The cabin itself had all of the necessary inclusions, and the wood stove provided excellent warmth throughout the night.. The toilet block is a close stroll The highlight would have to be seeing the stars from the back porch and waking up to the views of mountains and frost on the pastures. George was fantastic and nothing was too hard. We had a great stay and will definitely be back when we are down there next.
