The place was right next to the National Park, so it was easy to access for walks. There was a lovely little walk along the creek too. The campsite itself was spacious and was great to have free wifi and power. Make sure you order the eggs and sourdough bread. They were absolutely delicious. Clara, the host, was lovely.

Sites are quite small and crammed in, meaning cars are parked in the road and manoeuvrability is a bit tight. Despite the plots being properly prepared (dug in, lined and covered in astroturf) not all of them were flat, so we moved onto another plot. Facilities were clean and showers hot. Access gate at the back of the plot to the brewery was useful!

Steve was an amazing host! Right from the get go, he was friendly, accommodating and helpful. The property is beautiful, and an added bonus of Milo the dog who loves pats. Steve let us use his firewood, and it's great quality! We had two fired and not once did we smell of smoke. We were able to hook up to water and electricity at the property and there was heaps of space between us and the next campers. Everyone there was so lovely, the kids all ride their bikes around and played games. It's super safe as the gate is always shut, so our minds could relax as our kids and dog were safe. Only bummer was that the pool wasn't working, but there is a cool little indoor swim centre just 300 metres up the road. However, Steve is going to get around to fixing the pool this weekend. Steve was always making sure all campers were happy and was helping out where ever he could, despite having quiet a bad back. Honestly, could not fault our trip at all. Steve is a genuine, kind person and we would love to come back again.

We are an animal rescue sanctuary and have rescued camels, horses, sheep, cows, donkeys, alpacas and chickens as well as dogs. Please note these are very friendly animals, the sheep are particularly friendly and curious. The sheep roam the property. The property has two dams, it is well treed with large open parts and has a beautiful view to Mount Macedon. Kangaroos, possums and echidnas also live here. You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay (as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards). The rate includes a small tour of our farm sanctuary.
