It's two storey, with the upper open-plan level accommodating 8 people in single bunk beds. A further two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed downstairs. The bunkhouse is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, toilet and shower.Clean sheets and blankets . Wi- Fi and streamed TV movie channels Please note - this is not the ritz! It's a simple bunkhouse, providing shelter to sleep, in a great location. If you wish to make use of the firepit, you'll need to BYO wood, this firepit is not often used. Located an hours drive North West of Hobart near the quaint little town of Ouse (pronounced - ooze) and set on the pristine Derwent River. Like so many of the towns on the Derwent River, this region is very popular with bushwalkers, fishing enthusiasts, and mountain bike riders. Overlooking the "pot-belly" of the Derwent River,  This place is a fishing and kayaking heaven . Have a swim in summer, kayak or go for an adventure on your mountain bike. There are two kayaks and two SUPs you are welcome to use. And there is a boat ramp just a few kms down the road to launch your boat. The Bunkhouse is a beautifully built structure, with large windows and plenty of space. It's two storey, with the upper open-plan level accommodating 8 people in single bunk beds. A further two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed downstairs. The bunkhouse is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, toilet and shower.Clean sheets and blankets . Wi- Fi and streamed TV movie channels Please note - this is not the ritz! It's a simple bunkhouse, providing shelter to sleep, in a great location. If you wish to make use of the firepit, you'll need to BYO wood, this firepit is not often used. Instead, we'd recommend bringing a small portable bbq with you to set up by the river! You're welcome to bring pets too.

Gorgeous site on a beautiful property. The river and waterfalls make for great adventuring for the kids, and the swing is lovely too. This campsite is a cut above any we’ve seen, with great care taken to give people nothing short of a magical camping experience, would highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Nature's Edge

We had a lovely time staying in the caravan. We had family members who brought their own caravans and they were also on the property only a 100 metres away from Maree and Andrew’s caravan. This enabled us all to enjoy 40th birthday celebrations together. It was a very picturesque place to stay and we really enjoyed the surroundings. Maree and Andrew were very welcoming and available if we needed anything.

The site was perfect for our needs. Wendy showed us arond when we arrived, the facilities were adequate and she was friendly. All you need for a couple of nights. Great location- in between Cradle Mountain National Park and Sheffield. The Cafe served great coffee too.

So quiet, friendly host, platypus in the dam to see at dawn. Lovely walk up the hill. Clean toilets. 15 mins to cradle mountain visitor centre. If towing a van from devonport direction do NOT follow Google through Gunns Plains. It's super steep and unsuitable for vans.

being my first time in the area, it was very convenient for me to travel to MBP.the camp made it easy for me having the ammenities like toilet and hot shower. i didnt get to use the laundry and bbq. but it is there when needed. the place is neat, peaceful & relaxing. It is very safe as well. I got to just leave my tent for the day and it was still the same when I got back.I would definitely use their services again when I go back to Maydena

We stayed at campsite 2 for my partners birthday, despite our extremely late arrival the communication between me and the host was constant and clear, he had no issues with us arriving past our previously discussed time. Upon arrival there was a beautiful set up with marshmallows and a roaster, a sign for my partners birthday and some flowers. We got to set up our tent under beautiful festoon lights strung above, and were also able to prepurchase some firewood to have the pit nice and toasty. We also added the feature of the outdoor cinema, which was a game changer! The host had a lot of movies preloaded onto the usb, and even asked if my partner had a favourite for her birthday. The nearby walks are simply stunning and the waterfall is a short walk around the corner from the campsite. Absolutely stunning location - just be prepared to drive on some loose gravel if you’re in a smaller car! Will absolutely be visiting ladybug campgrounds again! 11/10

Great camp-site. Well located to use as a base to explore from each day. Power and water connected. Hot shower with good pressure. Clean facilities. Great camp kitchen, with pizza oven, BBQ, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle.great hospitality and special mention to Wendy. Mrs chook also provide fun interaction for us and our 3 kids. What a beautiful place to camp! We didn’t have a soul around else and the site was massive with chairs and table, fire pit and festoon lights. There was a couple of waterfalls near by so want to sleep with the sounds of running water. Thanks Peter.
