SAME-DAY BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE BY 2 PM THANKS. Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Po historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained). Ryelands Farm & Vineyard

**Please note that it's $20 per person per night. Small farm and vineyard at Macquarie Plains in the Upper Derwent Valley, southern Tasmania. The property is 380m from the junction of the Lyell Highway and the Gordon River Road. It has 450m absolute river frontage on the River Derwent (no riparian reserve). The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (see rules around campfires). Due to hydro generation activity, the river may slowly rise or fall up to 1m (often without rain) so please be careful around the water.

Bruny Island Bush Camp

This property features all the elements required for a camping adventure. Located on Bruny Island on an open paddock in a bush setting, you will have 60 acres to explore or relax in complete privacy. Arrive here using Sealink Bruny Island ferry. and take the Blinkbonny Rd Turn off traveling for approx 500m from the corner. The campsite is best suited to self-contained 4WD campers who must bring their own toilet/shower facilities, drinking water and supplies. Pets on leashes are welcome. Campfires are permitted in the dedicated firepit. Take a stroll down to the beach and have a swim in the turquoise coloured water at Little Taylor Bay, or explore the bush and look for spotted par-ado, swift parrot, sea and nesting pair of wedge tail eagles, hawks, plovers, honey eaters, wrens, herons, brone wing pigeons just to name some of the birds. We also have a few of the famous white kangaroos, plus lots of smaller wallabies. There are good trails for hikes and mountain biking at the Mount Midway Forest Reserve and Mount Bruny Forest Reserve. Don't miss out on the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour - built in 1836, it's the only heritage listed lighthouse open for tours. Please stay within the property boundaries as shown, there is no access to Daniels Bay.

Hence, we have additional electric fences if animals are close to the camping area. Take in a great therapeutic cool morning swim in the river, and beach combing along the driftwood shore is fun to do. Our dusk and night skies in the valley are truly magic. Watch the colours on the hills, mountains, and water change in front of your eyes, so pour a local wine, plate up a Grazing platter or Farmers Breakie basket and seat yourself on a good stump or camp chair and enjoy. (or platters and baskets are subject to availability and ordered in advance) Choices for day trips and activities are boundless as in all directions you can visit many National Parks, waterfalls, beach coasts, and rivers. We offer a pickers hut rustic shelter, camp toilet, picnic table, and bench along with a fire pit. (to be used in respect to fire bans). Firewood is available to purchase in advance. Please remember to bring your own fresh water to drink. We're animal-friendly, so bring along your four-legged friend so long as they're controlled, and on a lead at night. We have a Leave No Trace policy, so please ensure you leave the camp as clean and tidy as you found it, taking all rubbish with you. Relax in the beautiful peaceful setting of Meluklerdee country. Enjoy the ambiance amongst the Cygnet hills and beside the Huon river. A perfect destination in the Huon Valley to stay, wander and discover the many fabulous hidden local gems.

We are located a few hundred metres from the Myrtle Forest walk and waterfall. We have unpowered sites located on the forest fringe, each with a firepit. We have firewood available so you can sit and enjoy the cool mountain evenings around the roaring fire. We have lovely rainforest to explore where wildlife abounds... wallabies, potoroos, wombats, bandicoots and Eastern quoll. Visitors must be self-contained. Dogs not permitted.In summer we have balmy days with views of Mount Wellington and in winter we often have snow to play in.Our resident horses love attention and a few carrots :) we breed shire horse and Freyja our resident drum horse loves a pat.
