A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful! Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat. Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

We loved Old Mac’s Farm. So many areas to camp in that are suitable for all different types of self contained campers. We travel in a small camper and found a lovely sheltered spot. Love it that you can have a look around, choose the spot that suits, then check in. This place is so well organised, clean and the check-in system is seamless using Hipcamp or the self check in booths. Firewood, fire pits, potable water are all so easy to access. A lot of work goes into managing a place for us all to enjoy. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

I loved the camping at Cherry tops, hosts were very nice and welcoming people. The camp site has some nice views. Toilet was very clean, there is fresh water to drink and refill your bottles, and there is a very nice hot shower available for a fee.

The site was perfect for our needs. Wendy showed us arond when we arrived, the facilities were adequate and she was friendly. All you need for a couple of nights. Great location- in between Cradle Mountain National Park and Sheffield. The Cafe served great coffee too.

We had an amazing stay at this camp. The van sites were very spacious and the grounds were very well kept. The kids loved the little petting zoo! We would definitely recommend and will most certainly be back.

Great cleared camping spot with a fire pit by the river. Lovely produce we picked up when we arrived. Enjoyed spotting the resident platypus each evening.

So quiet, friendly host, platypus in the dam to see at dawn. Lovely walk up the hill. Clean toilets. 15 mins to cradle mountain visitor centre. If towing a van from devonport direction do NOT follow Google through Gunns Plains. It's super steep and unsuitable for vans.

Camped with friends at Blythe River Campground. Such a beautiful hidden gem. Toilet and hot shower amenities are available and clean, just don't look at the walls and ceiling 🕸️🕷️. Great little spot if you like to fish or cold water dip. Highly recommend it.
