Ideally located just a couple of kilometres from Robe on the Southern Ports Highway (road side number #4437), The Four Mile Farm offers spaces for self contained vans, camper trailers and tents, in a tranquil ten acre rural setting. Only minutes to the Robe township, restaurants, cafes, shopping and Robe's famous Long Beach, The Four Mile has an abundance of wide open spaces to find a private nook to park up for a night - or a week. New facilities include a utility room and ensuite featuring a hot shower and flush toilet, located inside the front shed, as well as a new shower block with two hot showers and an additional flush toilet, just a short stroll from the camping area. (Showers are coin operated - bring a good supply of $2 coins). Bring a chair and relax round the community fire pit in the evening (fire season excepted). We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar. You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to! Great paddock for an overnighter, plus they have a Highland Cow (say less). We are on our way back to Perth from Melb and this served as a nice spot to pull in for a night. Freezing cold and rainy but the highland cow (Nin) and the cows next paddock over were a nice treat to say hi to despite the weather. We’re traveling in a swag with our dog. Paddock was level and fire pit was provided. No complaints! Thank you

Weekend Trip to Bryton Wood Campsite

This is the perfect spot for anyone visiting Mount Gambier. I highly recommend it. Not far from town yet so peacefull. A huge grass area with fire pits. Although we couldn’t use them as it was raining most of our trip. Toni was quick at responding to any questions and very helpful although we didn’t get to meet her as we were out most days. Would definitely come back here.

Loved our stay here - sites are HUGE and each have a fire pit. The newest addition, the highland cow - was definitely the highlight. She’s a beautiful part of the farm stay experience. We definitely recommend.

Due to wind we swapped our stay at Paddock 2 to Shady 2. The spot was private and sheltered from the wind. We also decided to take a tour of the farm, meet the camels and sample some camel milk and ice cream. It was lovely to meet Tara who was very friendly and gave a very interesting tour. We felt very welcomed on the property and were able to take an evening walk and have another look at the camels. Perfect for an off-road self-contained trip.

There is plenty of room to move at Bryton and all sites are flat. Toni and their two dogs met us and were very easy to speak too. Bryan came around later with some info for us . Firewood is available as well. It was an easy and quick drive into Mt Gambier from the camp. If we are down this way again we would definitely stay here.

What a fabulous spot to explore Mt Gambier, only 10min out of town! The sites are HUGE, it was so peaceful, great for the kids to run around, and if you prefer space than being crammed in a caravan park, this is perfect. You need to be fully self contained. Owners were super friendly & even gifted us a jar of their delicious local honey. Would definitely recommend 🤗

A great place to stay and park our caravan. Close to Mt Gambier and all the things we wanted to see and do. Bryan and Toni were very welcoming and accommodating. Girls were free to explore and we even met Ralph (Highland cow) and Bryan and Toni brought down food for the girls to feed him.

Such a beautiful place to stay. We stayed during the week and had the whole place to ourselves for all but one night, and the sites were well spaced so even when people were there it felt private. Beautiful views to wake up to and the sunsets were incredible. Hosts were lovely and gave us a jar of their honey before we left. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting to be close to town but is looking for somewhere a bit on the quieter side.
