In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 2000+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer.
Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (Flushing LOO with a VIEW is now available for campers without their own) I can offer Power (subject to availability) $10 pn to 6/8 sites.
Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely.

Only a quick one night stop for us but really enjoyed it. We had great views and appreciated the fire pit provided - be sure to bring some wood! We also appreciate that Karen provided a toilet as we are in a camper trailer and don’t have one on board 😊

Group trip
This would have to be the best spot in Coober Pedy! Each site has its own fire pit and overlooks the beautiful plains and you get an awesome view of both sunrise and sunset, and it never fails to deliver. The toilet and kitchen are nice and clean. Karen is very accomodating and a lovely host. We’ll definitely go back and highly recommend it.

The site and position to town worked out well, very quiet with excellent sunrise and sunset views, Karen made us welcome and ensured we knew about what the town had to offer, we would recommend her camp to other Hipcampers.

My second stay at this camp and the views are just as great as I remembered them. Great to see the inclusion of a toilet now, added bonus. Peaceful location (although few barks from time to time and personally I'm not used to windchimes) but Karen is friendly and very accommodating
