In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 2000+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer.
Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (Flushing LOO with a VIEW is now available for campers without their own) I can offer Power (subject to availability) $10 pn to 6/8 sites.
Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely.

Site 6 is a little more private. You can hire fire pit $10 and crate of Wood $15. The portaloos were not in use, so it was a proper toilet/shower block. Can walk to coast along the river track.

Had such a good time camping at Tipsy Hill. The campsite was quiet, private and really peaceful, perfect spot to switch off and relax for a bit. Loved the open views, the calm atmosphere, and the stars at night were unreal. Definitely a great place if you’re after a chilled camping trip away from the crowds. Would happily come back again

The land was beautiful, felt much like camping in the bush - even though the nearest shops were actually only 6 mins away! Steve was great to communicate with, and the additionally purchased lamb sausages were delicious!

Easy check in and a great spot by the creek. The toilet was clean and the surroundings quiet - if you don't mind the creek and the ocaissional Kukaburra.

This place is an amazing little getaway with wonderful views and great caretakers. Loved the enclosed area for my dogs which was a breath of fresh air from other Hipcamps. Will definitely be back

Serenity, total peace and quiet. No noisy river traffic just abundant bird life, kangaroos and total relaxation. Good fishing too. Very secure for dogs.

Had a great time at Steve’s farm. The creek was stunning and the rocks/gully provided great shelter from the wind for the fire. Kitchen and toilet were solid, Steve was a great host. Only just outside of barker so super convenient for supplies but felt super secluded at the same time. The dogs absolutely loved it. We will be back!

We spent three (windy and occasionally rainy) nights at Tipsy Hill and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The site is huge and we didn’t see a single other person the entire stay. Hosts are friendly and generous.. The kids caught some (big!) carp off the jetty, and had a paddle around in the dinghy. The lagoon is still and quiet with lots of birdlife. We will definitely be back.
