You will have access to our beautiful peaceful surroundings, with adequate shelter under some lovely big trees park your camper or pitch a swag. We also have a nice running creek that you can enjoy watching our many wildlife that are present throughout the creek, fish, eels and turtles. It's truly a very private and relaxing spot to chill out and enjoy camping for a few days or whatever suits your needs while passing the area. Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals. Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ. Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. Swimming in the creek is not recommended. So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area. Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience. Birdwatchers are spoiled for choice day and night, beautiful insects are in abundance, small native marsupials and reptiles are regularly seen, and the waterways are home to a variety of tropical fish as well as the occasional crocodile in the main river. We’re a great base location for exploring the area as we’re only 15 minutes to the town of Gordonvale and less than an hour to Cairns International Airport, the Great Barrier Reef and the Atherton Tablelands. Boaties can take the ten minute drive to Deeral Boat Ramp to launch their vessel and head down the Mulgrave River to Russel Heads and out to the Great Barrier Reef and islands.

Plenty of space to set up where you feel comfortable within the fence and surrounded by horses. 15km or 20 minutes from Cairns City Centre and 10 minutes from Coles or Woolies in either direction. (Please note Gordonvale Woolies is closed on Sundays, Mount Sheridan shopping centre has Kmart, Coles and Woolies). A cane train line runs across the front of the property so during cane season the trains come past a few times during the day and night. They can be noisy but are fairly quick. A little spot of paradise right here on earth. I felt as though I were wandering the Amazon. Dead white sand, crystal clear water, cool and green, jungly trees reaching across the creek, a place to restore your soul. Jodie and her dog, Blue, were super friendly. Simply fantastic all round.

This place is truly your ultimate camping experience. The land where we camp is large enough for multiple caravans and level. Right in front of where you camp is the most magical fresh water creek. Plus your own private waterfall which is a short walk from your site. This place is truly so special and magical. Hubby and I have a rule that we never return to the same place twice. In 15 years of travelling around the world- this place is the only exception Jodie is so wonderful and welcoming. Please please please respect this place and leave no trace. Jodie thank you so much for allowing us to stay here. It really is one of a kind Oh my god! I forgot to mention the 2 most friendly and kind camp doggos that will come say hi and Blue will lead you to the waterfall like a little rainforest wizard guide haha

Weekend Trip to Barrine Farmstay And Camping

We had a real magical time here, Emma was a brilliant host! She showed us and the kids around the farm letting us meet her goats, feed the cows and collect eggs from the chickens. She even brought baby goats down to the camp-site to let the kids feed them milk and meet some very friendly dogs. She even gave us trays of eggs that where collected that day from the chickens! Luckily we got to see a baby cow being born during the night and she walked straight up to meet us in the morning! Your kids will love this spot! Camp site had everything we needed from toilets, showers, fire pit and power. Only a short drive away from other activity spots like lake eacham and yungaburra. Was a lovely trip full of memories will definitely be back

This was a lovely spot with plenty of space for a group of 4 vans. Lovely grassed, private area and plenty of room for a fire. Margie was very friendly.

2 nights at Tropical Woopen Creek Camping

Beautiful little private spot next to the creek filled with fish and turtles. There were small rubbish and recycling bins provided, as well as an outhouse with a portable toilet which was kept very clean. Couldn’t swim in the creek as there has been recent croc sighting nearby but still great to camp by.

Great spot on the creek with a really well maintained and flat camp spot, plenty of privacy. Fireflies were a great addition at night, will definitely be back with some friends

Weekend Trip to Fnq blooms

We so enjoyed our stay, one of our favourite camps ever. I would return to the area just to stay here again. The beautiful gardens welcomed us in, and our beautifully private lush campsite was easy to access and well presented. The crystal clear creek was the cherry on top, and beautiful Blue the border collie was a great tour guide up to the private waterfall. I loved the company of the horses and dogs so much, and Jodie was a lovely host. The wildlife surrounding us was beautiful, and we even saw fireflies at night. Just, incredible. Thank you so much Jodie and family!
