Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm. PRICE. $25 per night Max 2 people. $10 per night for any extra people on that site. $5 for kids 5 years to 12 years. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. We had an absolutely amazing stay at the campsite. Our son was especially excited to help take care of the animals, and we were truly grateful for how thoughtfully you even included him in collecting eggs. Thank you so much for that kindness. After we returned home, he drew pictures of his favorite moments from the stay, and it became an unforgettable family memory for us here in Australia. The farm is incredibly sustainable, and coming from Japan, we were genuinely impressed and inspired. Everything was clean, the site was spacious, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. English isn’t our first language, so there were a few moments when we didn’t fully understand the instructions. We really appreciate your patience and understanding. We are so glad we chose to come all the way from Japan to stay here. It was truly worth it! Thank you so much! 日本から来ましたが、本当に素晴らしい体験でした。ありがとうございました。

We loved our three night stay at Dead Tree Alley. Guy the host and his children were so helpful and it was great to chat while the geese, chickens, Guinea fowl, pigs, roosters, alpacas, goats, cows etc were being fed. We will be back one day soon. We can absolutely recommend this Hipcamp for anyone wanting to relax and reconnect with nature. Only one hour west of the Gold Coast!! 10 out of 10

What an amazing property situated in the middle of farming country. The section is very private and quiet, with plenty of places for tents. The shower and composting toilet are great too. I spent two nights with my small tent and my car. The only downside is lack of shade so ended up using the shower block as a shadey place to cool meals. Definitely recommend a morning walk up to the turn off too. The horses and cows are very friendly. Ryan made sure I was all settled in and communication was excellent. Definitely recommend!

Andrew and his wife are kind and considerate hosts. The property is so loved and well cared for. Very clean amenities. Great for families with young kids. The large pond with featured water fountain and lights are especially lovely at night. Wonderful to be in the bush surrounds amongst nature and all those delights. Great venue for intimate functions too with accommodation options as well!

Great place to stay. Plenty of space between pitches, getting in and out was easy. Venue was lovely to look at, the water/lights look amazing at night, although they bring the insects out. Make sure you have bug spray! The host kindly lent us his as we ran out.

Took our camper trailer to Dead Tree Alley really enjoyed the camp site. Guy was very friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. Highlight was getting to feed the huge variety of animals on his property. The grounds are kept very tidy and hot shower and a toilet was great.
